i am a proud YU grad and its so spiritually uplifting to see your excitement to attend such a program. A few pieces of advice:

-don't dorm in Muss.

-love off campus if you can.

-get into rav goldvichts's shiur.

-figure out what you want to major in soon so you don't spend 4+ years on campus.

-take advantage of the shuttle. the girls are waiting for a stud like you to make their tuition worthwhile.

Dear Aviv,

I am so happy you got into Yeshiva University. Let me just warn you...

When you expect it to be a University it is actually a Yeshiva, and when you expect it to be a Yeshiva, it is actually a University. Most people become less religious at Yeshiva because the Judaic studies department is a complete failure. The registrar office and the Dean's office are the worse in the country and you will get yelled at even if you smile at them. No one will really help you so just ENJOY! MAZEL TOV

I got accepted in 2006, and after 3 1/2 years through the BMP and YC (going for a degree in Poli Sci after yeshiva in Israel) system I am now an ATHEIST!
