I ordered mine from JCMotors.com, but they used to have an option to purchase the shortened cans. It doesn't look like they do anymore, I'd give them a call. Clint, the president of the company is actually the one that set it up for me, so the customer service folks may not know too much about it. Good luck
Well done on the vid. Did you ever pawn off your TOR exhaust? I'm looking to tweak the note on the cheap for my '12 STR. I road trip a lot and know what it's like to have an aftermarket pipe screaming at you hours on end.
@teamsingleshot Yes, I did end up selling them. And, were I to be traveling long distance, I would definitely prefer the quieter tone of the triumph aftermarket pipes
called jc motors today and salesman i talked to didnt know what i was talking about. either i called the wrong jc motors or they cant get it anymore. do you know a specific part number to ask for or even a specific person?
Well put together vid! Can you upload another with the bike seat back on with the Two Brothers? I'd love to see how those bad boys look overall.
Also, if you don't mind me asking, how much did the Two Brothers cost you? I know the Arrows are about $1600AU and the Akrapovich are asking about $1200AU.
You may need to spend some money on the suspension anyway if you get the R as the spring rates, especially the rear, are very stiff, but its much cheaper than replacing the entire front and rear units with aftermarket, which is what you'd have to do with the standard. Whichever you get, I'm sure you'll be happy though :) Let me know if you have any more questions.
I have exactly the same R version in grey and was thinking how they may sound so thanks a lot for sharing this video. I definitely love the deeper sound of it and the oval black, shorter shape makes the appearance more compact. Just one question though! Does it gain any more bhp?
@dgr8poss I did not have a dyno test performed on the bike. However, most stock exhausts are fairly restrictive in order to comply with sound and emissions standards. Switching to a straight through system (most aftermarket systems) allows for the exhaust to escape more quickly. This typically increases the horsepower of the motorcycle though sometimes at the expense of torque (which isn't advertised). Don't neglect the benefits of some rather significant weight savings though :)
It really depends on what kind of rider you are and what you expect out of your bike. The R version, as I'm sure you know, comes with the upgraded suspension and brakes. If you are the kind of rider that doesn't know decent from good (no offense), then it wont really matter which you get. However, if you require excellent brakes and want a suspension that is higher quality, then the R the way to go.

If you are concerned about the db's you could always put in a db killer. I think TBR makes ones that fit those tips.

Good video man. Short cans are definitely the way to go. I'm not a fan of the Two Brothers systems, but those look good.

I'm thinking about getting a street triple r, is it worth the extra money to get the r version or is the standard version a better buy?
