Although i still think the 49ers, at the time, made a mistake by not taking rogers, you would've never known how well Rogers would've turned out with Dilfer/Singletary/Nolan/Raye as the coaches. Alex is proving that to me and many fans. Even though you might have the best QB coming out of college, he will flounder in the pro game without a good, well organized and well structured team. Alex had none of this his first 6 years.

I'm looking forward to seeing him again next season.

It don't matter wat u say with the O-line that they had and bad coaching Rodgers would've surely had injuries. I give prop to Alex for toughing it out, he is definitely not a bust.

Alex Smith is so horrible that he helped the 49ers make it to the playoffs. Anyone that says he sucks is an idiot. Alex Smith is not horrible nor great. He is good, but can be great one day. As a TRUE 49er fan I was proud of smith and the rest of the team for a GREAT season, unfortunately they couldnt get it done against the giants.

Brees: 281 touchdowns, 40,742 yards, 94.0 QB rating, 65.9 completion percentage. Smith: 68 touchdowns, 12,543 yards, 76.4 QB rating, 58 completion percentage. Plus add the fact that Brees has won a Super Bowl and they're not even close. Smith's success is due entirely to Jim Harbaugh being an amazing coach. Brees is just better, period.
