I really love these flowers. They are multi-function; I could add it to my clutch, wear it as a broach, in my hair ohhh endless possibilities. Thanks you so much
This video is old but hope ur still checking it. I loved the flowers and I'm Definitely going to give it a try, need to find the first video though. :) I want to add it to a hair clip for my niece to match a Valentine tutu I just made her....will be so adorable! Thanks so much for sharing, You did a fantastic job on explaining and showing what you were doing!! I subbed you!
Thank you for sharing! <3 I'm making these as hair clips! The tulle I'm using is green, the satin is sparkly pink, and I'm putting a big rhinestone in the middle. I'm very new at sewing (11 years old) any tips?
I was looking for videos or tutorials on how to make flowers. I see so many on YT and they are so pretty. I saw yours and your tutorials, you made it look easy. I need easy lol. I was hoping, if I can make them, to try to sell some them if iyou don't mind. I need to make some money and I have a lot of fabric. Would you mind if I tried .
I like your flowers a lot, and I also love the color you made with the spray, but I couldn't understand properly, what do you put in it? Acrylic paint, water and what else? And also when you dry it can you dry it just with hairdryer and does this type of paint hold well with washing etc?
@Ggoldwyn For the spray in this video, I used acrylic paint & water. It wasn't a glimmer spray, but you can add Pearl Ex or Perfect Pearls to make it shimmer or use metalic paint. You can also add a bit of Mod Podge to help seal the shimmer (Perfect Pearls, when added to water, doesn't need a sealer). *Note: Mod Podge will stiffen the fabric a bit. I often use a heat tool, but air drying if fine too. The paint would likely run if washed, so probably not a good idea. TFW ~ Leanne :-)
This is awesome.. I had an idea this had something to do w/a needle and thread and you confirmed it.. LOL i'm so GONNA do this! TFS!! I've always-always wondered how the lovely ladies made these beautiful flowers and now i know!
I was wondering when you folded the 2nd layer of tulle if you cut it when you had it gathered will it cut evenly? or no?
@vmtee Do you mean when I'm cutting the tulle to make the long strip? I folded it in half, then cut it into the long strip. If you line it up nicely, lay if flat on a table & take your time cutting, it stays pretty even. You could even fold it again if you want & then cut it, but you do run the risk of the tulle becoming uneven. It doesn't matter a whole lot anyway because I trim down the tulle after, so it's a nice even circular shape. I hope I answered your question.
@gummibunny08 Hi there! I'm glad you like the flowers :-) I attached them to the packaging using some double sided sticky foam pieces ( it comes off the fabric nicely so nothing gets ruined...you can even pull it off the tag background...if you are careful). TFW Hugs ~ Leanne :-)
Very detailed tutorial. I really like all your flowers and I'm eager to try making my own! Thanks for sharing! I'm looking forward to seeing more of your creations.
