i've noticed something: the final boss in paper mario 1 is bowser, the fb in paper mario 2 is peach (possessed), and the fb in super paper mario is luigi (controlled by dimentio). perhaps for paper mario 4 we'll see mario as the final boss?

Considering that they are making Paper Mario games like Classic platformers now. Maybe they could make Bowser the main villain.  It would be more like a classic Mario platformer with classic themes. Fire, desert, castle, mansion, etc. Much like the third game RPG elements would be implemented along with platform elements. The Chapters would be longer and more difficult to be up to par with Mario platformers of old.

Bowser in his super-powered form could've handed Mario his ass if Mario both weren't a tenacious bastard AND the fact that he has literally the entire world, the star spirits (Or whatever they were called), and other powerful entities backing him to bring Bowser down.

I just think that Mario could handle "GIGA BOWSER" himself XD

After the part where you get the Peach Beam, instead of switching to King Of The Koopas for the true final battle, it just resumed Bowser's Rage where it left off when the "Getting The Peach Beam" theme started. Don't get me wrong, Bowser's Rage is a better song but it has this feeling of "All hope is lost." King of the Koopas has more of the feeling "This is the final battle, you can do it" which is really what they were going for during the battle.

paper mario 4, it involves bowser and grodus. they work together to revive the ultimate world conquering device, however the only voice that it will respond to is the voice of a beautiful maiden, peach. the way to stop the ultimate device is by obtaining the 7 gold mushrooms hidden all over the mushroom kingdom at naval piranahs castle, koopa bros hideout, kameks castle, x-naut fortress on the moon, inside a jungle boss: wario + waluigi then somethin like the glitz pit and finally bowser castle
