When he came in, they didn't have the stellar receiver core they do now or have had over the past decade. He became an elite QB, which gave them the option of doing amazing things. @JWardA7Xfan Brady was not put onto a great team. The Patriots went 5-11 in 2000 and were 5-13 in the Belichick/Bledsoe era. There was only ONE major difference between the 2000 Pats and the 2001 Pats: the starting QB. With Bledsoe, the 2001 Pats started 0-2 and weren't expected to do much better than 6-10 anyway. Along comes Brady and suddenly they win 14 of their next 17 games including the SB.

The reality is that Brady was pushing Brian Griese for the starting job in '97, his sophomore year, and Brady started EVERY SINGLE Michigan game in '98 and '99. Drew Henson finished his college career with 8 starts- all in 2000 when Brady was backing up Bledsoe in NE.

When he came in, they didn't have the stellar receiver core they do now or have had over the past decade. He became an elite QB, which gave them the option of doing amazing things. @JWardA7Xfan Brady was not put onto a great team. The Patriots went 5-11 in 2000 and were 5-13 in the Belichick/Bledsoe era. There was only ONE major difference between the 2000 Pats and the 2001 Pats: the starting QB. With Bledsoe, the 2001 Pats started 0-2 and weren't expected to do much better than 6-10 anyway. Along comes Brady and suddenly they win 14 of their next 17 games including the SB.
The people who want to think Brady is a "system QB" or "game manager" are just fooling themselves.

The reality is that Brady was pushing Brian Griese for the starting job in '97, his sophomore year, and Brady started EVERY SINGLE Michigan game in '98 and '99. Drew Henson finished his college career with 8 starts- all in 2000 when Brady was backing up Bledsoe in NE.

Depending on how often it happens is up to the biased eye of the biased beholder. In other words, certain homer Eagles fans are the only ones who think there's a big conspiracy against Vick. @777zippy777 When you look at stats and records, you'll see that Brady does have the upper hand in alot of categories over Joe Montanta. When it comes to rings, Brady still has some fuel in his tank to get another one and I believe he will get one more ring in his career, once that happens he will be cemented as the greatest QB ever.

@Akmadadinshad You would think one of these years Brady would finally get SB win #4. Since the last time they won it all, the Brady-led Pats have gone 10-6, 12-4, 16-0, 10-6 and 14-2, always SB contenders but they're 0 for the last 5. Brady will pass Montana in most passing categories, but that's neither here or there because it's tough to compare eras. But I agree- one more ring for Brady, especially if he plays lights out during the SB run, will be enough to put him in GOAT status.

@jazzyjeff1282 Brady will always have his haters. I just laugh at their jealousy. By the time Brady is done, he'll have monstrous numbers and at least 2 MVPs and at least 2 SB MVPs and 3 SB wins. That's way more than enough for top 5 all-time status. (top 2 in my book)

Touchdown Tom is great but he isn't better than Joe Cool. When you look at any award that counts Joe has Brady beat, look it up. Brady has hit a plateau sorry to say. The Jets have been cutting the Patriots ass every time it really counts. Can't see Brady and the Pats being a factor in the AFC much longer they just aren't the same anymore.
