  • these 2 dislikes are most likely clumsy mistakes

  • And to clarify to everyone: Celtic is NOT just Irish and/or Scottish. It's Scottish, Irish, Welsh, Cornish, Manx, Breton, Galician, and English (yes, England's people are of primarily Celtic genetic background but have been Germanicised).

  • @odhinnsman9000 there was nothing sweet about the sea in the islands. Not in those times

  • I'm Asian , proud of it, but hearing Celtic or Gaelic music and there culture makes me want to be Scottish or Irish!

  • @LeoLeungFilming How about you stay in your own culture and race?

  • @noisybeetle: the song's in Scots Gaelic, not Irish.

  • @steamwrench well, didn't say it was in Irish...just wanted to go back there...it has brought so much memories...

  • I wish I was a poet...how to describe such beauty? Amazing song, amazing country...CAN SOMEBODY TAKE ME TO IRELAND PLEASE?

  • @noisybeetle the song is about a woman who fell in love with a boatman (fear a bhata in scottish gaelic) and now she is lamenting on how she will never see him again and how when she asks the other boatmen if they have seen him they call her foolish for ever falling in love with him, what isnt so widely known is that shortly after composing this song her and him married...

  • @odhinnsman9000 I guess he was worth every tear...love doesnt know boundries, does it? but for sure it knows hope. hmm, I wish it worked every time

  • im english and half welsh and i love scot music

  • Can actually understand the dislikes

    the song's a lament

in staying true the original purpose and music of the song, this version is too jumpy

    Interesting take on it though

  • @frapssss De gustibus non est disputandum, i find the uplifting tone of the music lends to its emotional content, its like her lament is bitter sweet

  • And this is the culture and language we need to protect from foreign influences. Most beautiful. Probably my favourite Celtic and/or Gaelic (which is a branch of Celts, for those of you who don't know) folks song.

  • There are pictures of Ireland in this !

  • The one dislike is clearly English.

  • @Redout9122 doubt it im english and i like this (well half my dad was scottish so may have something to do with it), I'd wager they're prob a teen that listens to the dribble we get shovel fed these days

  • @calumknight1984 that's quite probable.

  • @Redout9122 prick

  • @Redout9122 Or a Justin Beiber fan.... :P

  • @raphmaster23 you dare utter such profanity here :P

  • @calumknight1984 Oh sorry I forgot about the new swear JB, now let me wash my mouth out with soap :P lol

  • @Redout9122 and the second is Welsh.

  • im normaly a hardstyle person but i love gaelic music

  • Its wonderful.Music in Your country is so incredibly deep and beautiful.

  • Mo Cheol tú, a Chailín.

  • This is so beautiful, I'm going to major in Gaelic/Celtic singing, cant wait!

  • This music makes me proud to be Scottish !! :)

  • I can see why this language is liked by so many....Its truly beautiful

  • This song is beautiful... It makes me think of a friend who is no longer on this earth.... R.I.P Curtis aka Irish...
