Today I'm finally coming to terms with the fact that capcom really is trying to axe off the Blue Bomber. This video topped it all off, and really made me cry. Mega Man, you will be missed.
I met Inafune at the Star Force release in NYC....what a nice guy. He signed my games and chit chatted with me, even chuckled at my bad joke about how signing his name in english on my DS would make people think it was Keiji's DS, so he signed it in Kanji...
Inafune has always been my hero, and the one person I've wanted to meet and have a drink with. I'd want to shake his hand and thank him for the happiest adventures I'd ever had as a child, and as an adult, and as a father that wanted to introduce his daughter to that world as soon as she was able to hold a controller.
This video haunts me, as I fear I may never be able to achieve my dream of meeting my hero, but gives me a sense of happiness that someone else was able to get that moment.
No joke this video makes me want to cry right now. I never was a big fan of Legends. I grew up on Battlenetwork and Zero series. MM really helped me like anime and it's art style. Even my style of drawing today reflects off the Zero series. It makes me sad on how Capcom has just turned for the worse.

we need to get an ORGANIZED boycott going somehow. Not just a bunch of scattered geeks who are pissed off so much that there not buying capcom games anymore, but a UNIFIED COLLECTIVE of geeks who are CLEARLY upset with the MML3 cancellation specifically.
Well, there's still hope. I mean, Mother 3 got cancelled for a while, but then it finally saw the light of day (Japan only, unfortunatley.) Maybe when Kenji buys back the rights to Megaman ( if he does) Legends 3 would be revived as well. Who knows...

Ouch. I'm usually into fighting games, platformers, and MegaMan. And I may be past the M Rating, in age, but I'm NOT gonna play Mortal Kombat, just to get used to the sight of blood splattering and the utterances of the words "FINISH HIM!" and "FATALITY!" as I keep getting beaten by numerous veterans, like the n00b that I am! I still have MegaMan Legends 1 and 2 for PS1, and The Misadventures of Tron Bonne. Works with my PS3, they does.
If the day comes that Inafune goes to buy back Megaman from Capco, I'm donating money for that cause. I've never touched a Legends game, I don't have many Megaman games at all, hell I never played a Megman game but I always knew what Megaman was. This is brutal murder to all fans.
Good job Capcom, you've truly ruined yourselves.

@dinoman96: It's called "Damage Control", It's a PR thing. Look it up. Ironically enough my brother was there at the comic con. He told me it was capcom literally lost their minds. Anyone wearing Megaman clothing (on their shirts) were asked to either change it with something not megaman related or completely leave.
Some guy genuinely asked them at the booth on why did they betray the fans, he asked nicely. He got arrested
They then put a sign saying, "No pics or mega man references allowed"
I have to admit I like the tone of this video. It's good the cancellation has gotten as much attention as it has, but I don't think raging and cussing at Capcom is going to do us any good.

You'd be surprised how many people don't even read game blogs or care about news like this-- they still go to stores and buy hard copies of the games or don't even have their consoles connected to the internet.

True, but I think we should be there main focus, I mean I know we are not, but as a Megaman fan, I have a rule, if I see a Megaman game I don't have,BUY IT!!! I would think that that fanbase is a great spot to build upon for the long run. But no, they want to milk out money the "DLC" way.

otherwise, they will have lost MANY customers, and overrall lowered the 3DS's sales.
if nothing else, thats incentive for Nintendo to persuade them to continue.

I don't know...there are plenty of people who'll say that they're boycotting Capcom...but know that they'll be the first one in line for Ultimate MVC3 or whatever the fuck comes out in the future.
And then, I'm pretty sure Capcom is going to do just fine on it's other franchises like Resident Evil and Street Fighter/VS. As much as it hurts me to admit it, Capcom probably isn't losing anything for this.

Yeah, their already F***ing up RE and let's face it, theirs way better fighting games out than SF 4 and MvC3 put together. So Capcom crashing is immenant and at this fucking point, absolutely fucking MANDITORY, now @ PhallusKnifeFight, it's fans like us that are to think for even keeping Street Fighter and even shitty vs Capcom 3 alive and make it to this day, so pissing us off WILL have a effect on them, yes indeed, you heard the story of the legendary Rareware. I understand that fans like /us/ are an important part of Capcom's target demographic, however, I still think that we're still a pretty small part of their entire audience.
You'd be surprised how many people don't even read game blogs or care about news like this-- they still go to stores and buy hard copies of the games or don't even have their consoles connected to the internet.
It's nice to think that the people who care have some sort of input, but I don't think we do...

True, but I think we should be there main focus, I mean I know we are not, but as a Megaman fan, I have a rule, if I see a Megaman game I don't have,BUY IT!!! We are the guys that keep Capcom, mainly Megaman games off the shelves because the moment we see a Megaman game, it's leaving with us(well i'm speaking for myself atleast). I would think that that fanbase is a great spot to build upon for the long run. But no, they want to milk out money the "DLC" way.

Nah, UMVC3 is just as much bullshit. Just like Dead Rising OTR, and the localization issues. I'm done with them for a while at least. See if they get their shit together in 5 years.
