  • I use crc throttle body cleaner i would never put fuel injector cleaner or carburetor cleaner on the throttle body might damage special coating inside the throttle body. Only use cleaners made for the trottle body only . Also when doing this clean the Mass Air Flow Sensor(maf sensor) also with MAF Cleaner only anything else will damage the sensor.

  • @jstorm0001 I've never had a problem doing it this way, but I also would not clean the MAF with this.

  • I took mine off and cleaned it real good. I haven't had any starting issues since... I did find the seal around PCV tubes was a little loose. So I used some teflon tape. All in all she is runnin like a top.

  • @highvelocity123 Good thing you caught that PCV leak. Vacuum leaks can cause lotsa troubles.

  • What kind of run conditions can a dirty throttle body cause??? I am ready to do mine and I want to look for improvements in idle and starting...will I see that???

  • @highvelocity123 Depending on how dirty the throttle body is, it could improve idle and starting issues and get better fuel mileage. Anything that improves air flow can do all that but may not nescessarily cure your problem. Again, depending on how dirty it is.

  • GM and their stupid engine covers... nice video though man

  • @TexasGunslinger9 This cover is suprisingly easy to remove.
