@diamonddust22 I agree that there are too many copycats in the music industry, but I wouldn't ever criticize Keane for being unoriginal. They have 4 albums worth of fantastic and innovative music.

@owen I am sorry, Keane is part of that movement that sound like a group of sappy schmatlzy cry babies that look at dramatic. They are part of that poser movement of a processed image. If you want original, look to Tom Waits, David Bowie, Mark Bolan, now that is original. Today's music is so crappy and disappointing. Been working 4 months on my CD and will be recording it starting January 2nd. Today's mainstream industry is full of shit and is dead.

@diamonddust22 I think it's easy to target Keane, but honestly they are more fringe alternative rock than mainstream. Listen to 'Atlantic' from 'Under the Iron Sea', for example. This stuff can't be just manufactured, it's innovative and experimental. This said, people will always have different opinions of music, and Keane isn't perhaps for everyone. But I have to refute that Keane counts as mainstream pop - it's too good for that :P (though perhaps their new album can be considered mainstream)
