Whitney's voice is back, maybe at 95%. She has never been able to sing outdoors in the cold. I knew she would be hoarse and continue singing. Her recording... that will be a different story. I think Clive is actually canning songs that once made the cut. If they aren't to a certain standard, there's no need to record them. She already put out an ok CD in 2002. This new project must be on the level of the Body Guard.

Her voice is getting ALOT closer to being what it was as opposed to say 3-4 years ago when she couldn't even attempt this song...She's about 85% of what she was vocally. The good news is that she didn't damage her voice!

In 2005 when she tried to sing a few notes before her presentation at the BET Awards, her voice was a hoarse whisper at best. She has come a long way and I know it will only get better. She can take her time with this new project. I'd rather she push back the release to next Spring than drop something now that will be a bit above average.

A new video has surfaced depicting the entire performance, posted by KazNews. Sorry to say but this video only displays he best parts of the show; her voice in the other clips sounds in worse shape than in the Tobago Jazz Festival.

DIsagree completley. The other clips ARE bad but it's still better than Tobago where Whitney was unable to get her falsetto going AT ALL. She uses it frequently throughout this show.

Falsetto does not demonstrate an improved voice; her falsetto here was good but her transitions were very rough and her chest voice was hoarse and lacked stamina and clarity.

True...but what I'm saying is that while some areas were worse, another improved. I think her voice was equal at worst (though its still not saying much). But we know she's probably just cashing in, with all these performances. I'm more anxious to see what happens when she performs on a stage with more "exposure."

Ok, here it is... Whitney sounds great here! Her lower register was a bit off but I was very impressed with her higher notes. They were very clear and she had a great falsetto.

To me, Whitney seems to be coming back but she still does give some pretty bad vocals. Check out a vid of her at the Plymouth Jazz Festival 2008 and you'll see what I mean.

Hopefully this is a sign she's on her way back and show everyone how it's done. All in all, she sounded good here.

Her chest register isn't damaged at all. The song "Like I Never Left" proves that as she hits Db5 effortlessly. The reason why she might talk-sing the climax chorus is because if she sings it like the recording it can hoarse up her falsetto for the big "YOU"'s which she pulled of. In Morocco, she actually sang the climax chorus as her falsetto was already quite hoarse, so she let go. I know she can sing it like she used to. Vocally, she's back.

Thank you!!!!!! Whitney is gaining her vocal control back over her registers. She has not lost the range its her control over her voice. She is learning control and technique all over again. Her range is definitely there no doubt, she is Whitney!

Also, her head voice, which didn't exist from 2003 to 2007 is back in full force. So stop blabbing about where she isn't and talk about where she is.

Sure it isn't totally Whitney or 1998 but come on man. The woman has made extraordinary progress. Go and listen to her from the 2006 Winter Olympics and "Family First" and then talk about her voice.

Actually she has some brilliant performances in 2004 way better than that, the WMA performance was truly awesome, That's What friends are for with Dionne in Germany was better than that and she was on tour in 2004 in Asia and some audio are really great and she hit E5 in full voice.

Sure here she is better than 2006 but she has A LOT to work to even match with her 2000 voice.

Ok, I get what you saying, and I'm sure SHE knows of all people she has some work to do (and I'm sure she's put a lot in since that show) but honestly, remember...her 2000 voice was really a continuation of her 1998/1999 voice. Listen to her on "Could I Have This Kiss...". She sounds AMAZING on that, as if it was 1998 still. Then come 2003 and she sounds a wreck.

That's what I'm saying. Compare this to 2003-2007 and you will SEE A HUGE difference. She's almost to her 2000 voice. Give it time.
