@10DMR Remember that these women are getting old. They wont be able to dance like younger women. Besides , it is obvious they did not have time to practice. Some of them have travelled home in a long time perhaps
mean to type "your culture" .. as i am not igbo . and fyi i am proud of where i come from and guess what being born in the usa is not a medal worthy event, using the opportunities in the country is the whole point here .. its obvious you have issues within yourself otherwise the "watch your tone " idiocy wouldnt have come out.. check yourself and dont bother sending me any more idiotic messages.. go and do your "master and commander " act elsewhere.. rubbish ..
This is the reason that nigerians need to teach their children their individual languages and cultures otherwise those children will become lost to where they come from god forbid..
@SuperQueenofAfrica Just for your information, I was born in the USA both my parents are straight from Nigeria and i speak Igbo fluently...and also about evidence of nigerian background, lol do you want me to put african pictures every where on my page with only stuff about nigerian so I have 'evidence' of being nigerian? smh you are just sad lol I cant even be angry cause I can only laugh at how silly you sound
@Citygurl27 first off you cant hear my voice lol! and secondly you are a bit of an idiot here, who died and made you "master and commander" ? an example of just why it is important to know your culture why did you come on here anyway ? looking for "booty shaking" if you know our culture you wouldnt have put out that comment in the first place .. you can be angry for all i care and as for laughing , well, i did that some comments ago , " watch your tone" now that was a good laugh! lol! joker
@SuperQueenofAfrica shaking my head you are so dumb lol no one is angry this is all to funny for me to be angry...anyway i am bored with this conversation...stop messaging me please. Thanksss
@Citygurl27 they are igbo women and i doubt if you have any connection to any culture in nigeria because if you did you would KNOW that we have different cultures NOT ONE .. end of discussion ..
@SuperQueenofAfrica First of all number one, watch your tone. Do not speak to me as though I am ignorant or that I have no culture. I was born and raised in a home filled with Nigerian culture. And I know for a fact that even if the dance does not include shaking some people add their on style to the dance to make it interesting. I understand there are different cultures and such, but We are Nigerian and that is mostly what we are known for and I am proud of it.
@Citygurl27 watch my tone? you and whose army here..? we are more than "shaking dat bootay" and that was my point so dont tell me to "watch my tone" lol! you are jokes..
@SuperQueenofAfrica Oh my God you do not understand, I know that WE are more than shaking it was just a simple question and you took it way out of proportion. and yes your tone made you sound very smug, it was a SIMPLE question get over it...period.
@SuperQueenofAfrica Also i have seen this dance before and the people that did it incorporated some shaking into it...It was only a question so do not be dramatic
@Citygurl27 I understand your point, but you need to clarify the word "shaking" because it is used loosely often. I'm speaking as an igbo living in Nigeria and I have seen different dances done by different igbos, yorubas, hausas so there is a difference between the style (which I know you realize) but Hausas don't shake it as much (hausas are more conservative). Igbos...depending on what you mean by shake it..we could have a discussion on that! i think they did a fabulous job but needed energy!
@okpalaj yea they defiantly needed more energy. Thanks for your insight, honestly i know there are many dances, but since there was not enough energy i was waiting for them to throw something more into the dance like the "shaking" lol. I know that not every dance has shaking, and most dont need it as long as there is lots of energy put into the dance they are doing.
