  • This is way better than it even needs to be. What a pairing! Two insanely talented artists!

  • Oh my god!!!! I could watch this over and over and over again, she puts so much passion and soul into everything she does. I love dolly!!!!!!!'

  • Bring the buck buck bucket roooooouuuuund...Classic! :)

  • go dolly! fab

  • One of my favorite crossroads. Love it..love it...love it:))

  • love dolly singing this song.

  • I think the fun with the buck buck bucket joke at the end is that Dolly referred to a line from 'the mule skinner blues': a song she sung a while back, that says: 'hey little waterboy, won't you bring your water bucket 'round'. Anyway, I love this!

  • @ninaveldwiesch yes it is.

  • Passion to the tenth degree

  • Niiiiice! Go Dolly!:D

  • Dolly out did Melissa on her own song! Absolutely GREAT!

  • its like.....is Shane from THE L WORD, could sing, it would be the vocals that melissa does in this.....just saying.

  • I love this!!!! My favorite of the show!

  • 2 geile stimmen!!!

  • LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "Bring the buck-buck-bucket 'round!"

LOL that is awesome! I nearly cried from laughter! Whenever I play this song on guitar now that is what I sing :P

  • @JoshKerrMusician What is the fun in "Bring the buck-buck-buck-bucket round"?? I see Melissa laughing but I think my english is not good enough! What is the joke?

  • @Rikkel65 I guess its that Dolly ad-libs the last two lines in the song, and noone was expecting it...

  • @Rikkel65 I thought the buck-buck-bucket was hilarious, truly Dolly Parton fashion!!

  • @markveinot76 Yes I think it is hilarious too now that I know everything about the song. I didn't know that Dolly's ad-libs was made up by her. That it was not original in the song! She is so creative! And funny! Love her.

  • @Rikkel65 The fun in the joke also comes from its title, "Bring Me Some Water". Dolly just said that if you are going to bring me some water, bring it in a bucket.

Parton should have recorded Etheridge's 3 songs for an album of hers, especially, "I Want to Be in Love". She kills with her performances of these songs.

  • dolly sings the hell out of this song, and with some passion, i like it just a little more than original version, dolly tore this up, i wish she would record this song on a cd

  • @nkyguy Agreed!

  • The both together are famous

  • Dolly is an intelligent lady and a fantastic songwriter, she knows exactly what she is singing about. Great lyrics by Melissa and an amazing vocal by Dolly!

(you have to appreciate that Dolly has had some of her own songs banned from radio, back in the 70's, for writing and singing about topics such as prostitution, abortion, rape and abuse. She sings about real emotions and doesn't care the lyrics may be controversial)

  • does Dolly know English? is she native speaker? does she understand what is she singing about? I have impression that not really? how you can sing this song like this? heeey somebody bring me some water because my partner having sex with somebody else YAAAAY!!! impossible.... kudos for Melissa for not laughing....

  • @aleale6932 Dolly knows what she's singing about... and you can tell that she's feeling what shes singing.

  • @aleale6932 only one question... who is this little waterboy??? and what he has together with the song?

  • @MelissaFanhoch3 somebody, who bring some water? for Dolly.. of course ;-)

  • @Jo5646 but she didn't get for which reason Melissa need this water, yep?

  • @MelissaFanhoch3 not really.... :-) only Melissa can describe such a passion and love....

  • @MelissaFanhoch3 no idea.... ask Dolly...

  • @aleale6932 Dolly has been writing and singing songs like this most of her life! So Kudos to Ms Dolly!

  • @aleale6932 Dolly will know what its about, she is very smart and quite dirty minded ! lol

  • Really great performance, full of energy! It's very cute how Dolly's moving her legs!

  • oh, Melissa is so perfect and amazing!!!

  • This is probably hands down the best Dolly live performance in the last 2 decades. I wish she would do a whole album with this rock flavor.

  • @LarryFerguson if this was the best performance.... Ooooooooooooooo

  • @MelissaFanhoch3 had to be!!!! Melissa was there!!!!
