In this case, it's highly unlikely the seatbelt would have saved him. It is the driver's side that slams into the wall.

He's more likely to survive that crash with a belt! If he was belted he wouldn't have been ejected (and landed on his head- probably killed him) or ran over (again if he survived the landing that probably killed him).

A seat belt would have saved both of the latter, so it's very likely the belt could have saved him!

My point was that even had he worn a seat belt, in this case, he most likely would not have survived because if you watch the video closely, the drivers side hits the top corner of the wall at the full speed that the vehicle was traveling. When the vehicle goes upright againg you see the whole driver's side is smashed in at a 90 degree angle.
