I was waiting for Mr Russell to give an analogy that he has given before..but he didnt.
It went something like this:
Imagine an overhead projector and projector slides.
brains are just like the slides - on their own they do nothing, but with the light from the projector - it shines through the slide and becomes a projected form. Our experience and consciousness is as much given by the light (consiousness, experience?) than by the brain Also the light is who we really are and it outlives the brain
I think when we are talking about "experience in the brain" we are fooling ourselves again....coz brain itself is nothing but another experience....so we cant really catch it or get to it....it is like trying to bite our own teeth....to me, reality is indescribable....death just seems like a pause between two glimpses of focused consciousness....
I suggest Mr. Peter Russell to watch Tony Parsons videos in youtube. Tony explains all what he is taking about in more understandable way.
