  • i study tai chi as a martial art and ya thats a strike just incase any of you have any doubts

  • Master Bakari Recently Threw me just like dat, Its All Real People, Trust me, I went flyign several times, its CHI Energy and the True Definiton of "PUSH HANDS!"

  • dude, it wasn't a jump back. check out the legs of the practitioner flying backwards. his legs didn't bend even a little for a "spring-off". he was really uprooted.

  • ehh the guy might have been thrown him but it looks a lot more like the other guy jumped back lol

  • Master Powell at that time weighed 265lbs and my weight was around 175lbs. You should also take note that I puled him forward to negate his balance before he was uprooted.

  • @PeacefulDemon trust me that wasnt a jump back

  • Hmm, I see that before Master Bakari pushes the Heavy Looking Man the latter drops his weight and brings his left leg forwards. Almost as if he were... jumping?

  • No he doesn't. The man being thrown is moving forward then he goes flying backwards. Watch it again.

  • its not body mechanics or brute strength, its the use of chi. You see before he pushes that heavy looking man, he took a step and conected his root to the earth, that conection made him able to push that man.

  • Its called launch to heaven. Bcos of an upward motion.

  • your comment maybe a little misleading to others, taiji is all about body mechanics, the push pictured although aided by his partner to some extent it is achieved from a combination of correct body mechanics and using the strength of the body whilst keeping the chi in the dantien except during the push when flows into the arms, as long as he sinks straight away it will return to the dantien.

  • @taijihitman

The push was real, Chi is bio-energy. HELLO? WTF do you clowns come from, this guy is for REAL.

  • @taijihitman

    Great explanation.

  • @zenmusicadict -- I would say that chi IS correct body mechanics and physics. Research shows that chi as an "energy" or "force" does not exist.

  • @ZhuangziZhou

ARE U AS stuu---pid as you sound???? Those Grandmasters are ALL fakes for the past few hundred if not thousands of years, huh??? Ba wa ha ha ha a hahahahahahaahahahhahah STUPID white boy. I lived in Singapore, Malay and know all too well the dangers of these arts, DUHHHHHHHHHH

  • @ZhuangziZhou What research!? Provide the references, or quit spreading your BS! As a matter of fact, research on biochemistry, bioelectricity, biomagnetic fields, etc., while still in the cradle, confirms some of the ideas contributed by the ancient Chinese. While our current understanding of the subject matter is lacking in many respects, Science is certainly extremely far from dismissing chi!

  • bit of sound?

  • why sooo short???? can't see much. Is it real?

  • Nice. 5 stars. If it were impossible to rate ANY youtube videos, I wouldn't even want to, though.

  • jesus that guy got launched!

  • so powerfull

  • lolll this video is proof that people do not check video length before watching something..

  • Learn more about combat fighting, watch the ALAMID MARTIAL ART(alamid intro)and see how combatant strike works.

  • It's hard to tell from the video whether the push is coming from brute strength or proper body mechanics -- interesting nonetheless.
