@Maamiyn This is on the "Any Love" album 1988. All of the songs, including this one, are classics, especially the title song, Any Love. I felt like this was an autobiographical song for Luther. Many believe he was gay and never really publically stated so...but as a performer of mostly hetero love songs, it would have been odd for him and a risky move. Fan would not have cared. I didn't. It was just kinda sad and poignant and the title song, Any Love, says it all.
I Love this song, reminds me how exactly how I would feel when I fell for a girl in high school. Love you Luther Vandross, always will be remembered...
Laud... We had so much fun with Anita Baker opening for Luther during release of this video. I loved to hear the women scream for him. lol Oh.. women really loved Luther and men period. What happened? Anyway... falling in love and relationships were all so different then. Yes indeed! "She won't talk to me!" lol yeahhhhh
Hey, I’m a young artist, & I would really appreciate it if everyone would check out my cover of Michael Bublé’s “You’re Nobody till Somebody Loves You.” Although I’m knowledgeable that Michael Bublé was not the first to record the song, my version was inspired by his rendition, nonetheless. I promise you that you will not regret giving my version of the song a listen, & it will truly knock you off of your feet! So please listen & enjoy! Thanks!
Hey, I’m a young artist, and I would really appreciate it if everyone would check out my original compositions “My Bluest Sky” and “Será.” “My Bluest Sky” sounds a bit like a cross between “Irreplaceable” by Beyoncé, “Water Runs Dry” by Boyz II Men, and “Tell Him” by Lauryn Hill. And “Será” is, of course, a Latin number that is very high energy, hot-blooded, and extremely unforgettable. Thanks!
Lisa Fischer won a Grammy before Luther did for her solo album. Later she did backup for the Rolling Stones. I went to many Luther concerts and he had great chemistry with his backups and the crowd. You always got your money's worth.
@ririsoosoo Yes I think I saw Luther about 10 times. Lisa was a hot mess she blew a kiss at me I was so young and naive but damn it was sexy as hell (im female) lol
These ads at the beginning of the video are bothersome. Suddenly they started popping up even though they didn't before. Is there any way to disable them?
I remember when VH-1 always played this video. It is one of my favorite's from Luther, and it gave us the opportunity to see another diva Lisa Fischer in a different light.
@mitch the dude, named Kevin Owens used to sing with Ray, Goodman and Brown, the redhead is named AVA Cherry she used to sang backup for David Bowie with Luther, the other girl is Lisa Fisher she used to be in the Group Change with Luther

Of all the songs I think this is my absolute 100% favorite and always will be. The instruments were crazy and his voice was crazy everything was crazy. I was three when this was made and didn't know this song existed until four years ago lmao BUT STILL THIS IS WAS CRAZY
lol. I think every guy had that feeling when seeing a beautiful woman. I know I do. Nice catchy song by Luther Vandross, the greatest male R & B singer.
@justmemother actually, that's false hope. Judgement Day means that unless cremated people are in the graves, body and SOUL. For it's the soul that is carried up each time we sleep and for many they return and others the Angel of Death completes his task. And as with Mr. Vandross, we all will taste death!
love love LOVE this! My favorite Lutha song! :-)

I thought that I knew and had every one of Luther's songs, but this is a first for me. There must be a few more undiscovered treasures out there.
