  • How do you get pics from this phone to your pc? please reply

  • @TheWallert It has been so long since I used this. I think you can take the micro memory card out and place it inside one of those larger card adapters and put that into a computer. Some people also use a usb cable to transfer files. You might try to email the pictures to an email address as well.

  • great review

  • they do. mine runs off a sims card

  • can you watch videos on it

  • @longcut88 No

  • I was told you cannot take/send/receive videos with this phone? Is that true? I thought it may involved first having that feature set up or enabled by calling the tech service. Got any input for me?

  • @omgitsBenjamin I don't think even tech could help with that. The phone itself will not even take video and the pictures even are not that good quality. So many strange things in the firmware like when you are viewing a pic you have taken you can not even make it full screen. I would really suggest another phone if you have the option especially if video is important to you.

  • Man I just got this phone for $20 just to test it out

    $50 total

  • This phone is a piece of shit. Holly fuck what a waste. I bought it and after 5 minutes I ordered Nokia E5.

Internet is slow, no gps, no e-mail set up.

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE. BELIEVE ME YOU WILL WASTE YOUR TIME

  • @irfan05401 too late. i had mine since september 10 of this year but i am getting nokia e71 january 22 wich is my b day :)

  • after haveing the phone i agree with you but it can do what i said. im looking to sell this one and get the one my gf has cuz it could run my comp from it.

  • hahahahahaha i am getting the same phone and a 30 dollar card for 50 bucks lol you can put music and ringtones and pics on it without downloading lol the sims card is for your music and pics not aps and if you want aps you blue tooth them to your phone.

  • @justinkahut13 I still do not believe you can put apps on the phone even if you sent them via bluetooth the phone is locked down so much do to the firmware I upgraded to a real smart phone not a wannabe and it works much better. You can put music on but the music player sometimes crashes when you add to large a playlist and the pictures have low quality and you can not zoom in. The reason it is so cheap now is everyone is getting better stuff and selling you old phones hahahaahahah lol

  • @justinkahut13 FYI it's A Sim card And Verizon phones or phones based off the Verizon Towers they Do Not Use Sim Card's

  • getting this phone in 2 weeks!

    gonna be my first phone

  • nice review.. ty

  • Good phone but bluetooth sucks

  • I live in the Orlando, Fl area and the service is great. The web is simple but very quick in my area. The phone is by no means top of the line but very functional and easy to use. The full 3.5mm stereo headset jack is convenient. The calls are crystal clear and the text messaging is great with this phone.

  • r u budist

  • @EZEKIELJEW no but I collect Buddha statues

  • i just bought this phone but i ddnt pay almost $200 i paid about 60 or 70 dollars for it

  • @ranbowcolorz this video was made a year ago prices were different

  • @ranbowcolorz did you pay online or in the store??

  • @ranbowcolorz i paid 79 plus tax for mine.

i love it, as far as the prepaid goes. i don't need any kind of fancy touch screen sliding flipping flopping application music players. I have 3 kids and they have a bad habit of breaking phones.

  • Hold in the spacebar to lock the keys. But by now I'm sure you've followed the rest of the sheep and got the iPhone 4.

  • @TheColbyHanson I have never purchased an apple product. I am currently using a Nokia E71.

  • @Roblox62 this is true you can use normal ear phones but be careful with the playlist if you add to many songs it will crash and you will have to start over

  • how do i cutomize the shortcut keys? i cant figure it out. and its really pissing me off. plz help?

  • @hklsdfhdlsk If you mean the menu and browser keys at the top I was not even aware you could customize them this phone has very limited features

  • how do you get ringtons on my phone

  • @crycrycry6969 go to myxer.com from your cell phone and download whatever ring tones you want free

  • I don't know if you found out yet, but to lock the phone usually you hold down the star button. :)

  • @burgandyblood yea i figured that out after making this video thanks anyway though :)

  • Why do we have to get tortured by cheap, problematic cell phones when using a pre-paid plan? It's outrageous. The company could charge a little more money & give a much better cellphone. They are still making plenty money on the plan.

  • @onthemoney90 I know I think this is the most purchased phone from that company and I don't understand why I have the E71 now from straight talk and it is so much better

  • Dang, you paid almost $200? I just bought it for 79.99

  • @mafiya69 that was quite a few months ago before the price dropped

  • @BlissfulOasis But yeah, I remember seeing this up for sale at Wwal-Mart for over $100. It's an ok phone though....

  • Thanks for your review. It is what you said...a phone to save money and get by for a while at this good plan rate but nothing to write home about. Best, L

  • Thanks for getting back with me about the GPS capabilities. Love your reviews, keep up the good work!

  • Straight Talk is not owned by Wal-Mart, it is owned by TracFone. All Straight Talk phones DO NOT operate on the Verizon network. The models ending in "c" do becaused they are CDMA phones, but those ending in "g" are GSM phones and operated on the AT&T network.

  • @Jlkn93 someone has already pointed out the fact that straight talk is not owned by Wal-Mart but all the same Wal-Mart is the only brick and mortar store that actually sells them and that is what I was trying to say I have since upgraded to the E71 which works on at&t because this phone is really terrible and I still don't understand why it is so popular

  • Does it have GPS capabilities?

  • @Notime4awatch no it can not do anything like that and you can not use any apps with this phone

  • hey good review i have a question i got the bluetooth and the memory card for the phone and when i go to my files for the phone on the computer it shows images and sound then memory card so i click memory card and shows images and sound then when i go to put music on my phone i drag the mp3 files over to the sound file in the memory card folder and i go to my phone and go to music player and it still says no mp3 file but i go to my ringtones and my songs on there instead can you help thank you.

  • @MrJokerNick I think mine did that as well but don't remember. My music player always crashed my phone when I tried to make a playlist so I didn't use it much. Try deleting all the folders on the mem card then adding the mp3s to the card without them being in a folder and put it in the cell and see if that helps. But like I said I did not mess with it much because it would make my phone freeze and reset itself a lot.

  • 200 for the phone,? its only $69.99 at walmart

  • @anxuizz look at the date on this video. The phone was more expensive when it first came out in my area. It has now dropped down here as well. I still think its a bad phone though.

  • @BlissfulOasis is good? tho, coz im gonna it,

  • @anxuizz If you have already made your mind up I don't think my opinion matters but I did not like the phone personally

  • So this phone can do Facebook and all those web sites, it just can't go on you tube?

  • @schwinnprotocol it can do it in a very basic way, don't expect it to look like a BB when you log into facebook same as any non smart phone that has a browser

  • Does the "unlimited" include long distance calls? If I call someone in the USA long distance will it still be the $45 or $50 a month??? I need a phone where I can call from my cell to a long distance landline.....

  • @Anglynn74 you can call any number in the USA but you can not call outside of the USA with straight talk

  • GFYM!!!!!!!

  • seems like a pretty bad phone!

  • Its not as expensive as Verizon. You gotta climb up on a ladder to pay Verizon's bill. I have an iPhone 4 and its worth about 15 cents. It drops calls like crazy. Don't go to Verizon and don't buy an iPhone 4.

  • I had straighttalk for some time. Customer service was OK all things considered (you have to be a bit patient). Since they're on the Verizon network I had good luck with the service living in northern Arizona. They're owned by tracfone which is why everything so locked up on the phones. I'm thinking about going back. Expensive for the phone yes but in fairness the service is as cheap as it gets I think.

  • @craigdge Yea the new straight talk phone i got is the E71 and nothing is locked on it the only downside is its at&t network so not as wide of a coverage

  • I'm gonna be getting either this one the Samsung R355C or the Samsung T401G what do you guys recommend, one uses Verizon & one uses AT&T that I know of...And the Samsung T401G records video...

  • @braambo get the one that records video this camera is terrible

  • @BlissfulOasis I did, already ordered it, should see it within the first few days of next week... T401G with the Video Recorder & Bigger Keyboard Buttons for just $65 with an Unlimited service card, normally its about $145+ tax, mine is refurbished, but I have 30 days to return it for exchange or refund no questions asked, I may do a unboxing and/or review on it when I get it :) Funny thing is tho the 30 days start from yesterday when I ordered it, not from when I receive and activate it...

  • @braambo I got the E71 to replace this phone so far im loving it

  • do not buy this phone unless you have tiny fingers. I hate this phone. my slider phone fell in water to may time and i bout this junk to replace it. the r451c is the better choice. the service is good but i went to the 30 dollar card because it was enough. you can lock the phone by holding down space. to unlock hit the _ above the speaker. as far as service in augusta ga it is great

  • @notafarmer2 you are completely correct about the tiny finger thing this phone has the smallest buttons of any cell phone I have ever used

  • it dosent let you put a banner. and the display options are extreamel limited. also, just so u know, you hpld down the space bar for 2 seconds and it locks it.

  • it runs on tracfone! cant u see the logo? but i dont know y, but wen i has voicemail trouble, it said welcome to verizon... stuff like that. i wonder?????

  • @shorty95ify tracfone is the prepaid company the cell phone connects to Verizon wireless towers my new straight talk phone connects to at&t towers

  • What good is straight talk unlimited internet if the internet is so slow? Perhaps you are better off with Verizon's prepaid service for $45 on a month to month prepay and used RAZR from ebay. At least the Razr for what it does (a Phone) has about the best reception of any except a blackberry. As for dropped calls, Verizon has more dropped calls than any other network and the type of phone makes no diff. Too bad CDMA is the only one with service in rural areas :(

  • @dasautotec I agree it is no use having unlimited when the service is so slow and everything was blocked since making this video I have upgraded to the Nokia E71 which is a smart phone that can actually make use of the unlimited plan

  • can you record video on this?

  • @emmypop1998 I said in the video you can not

  • hey do you still have that phone?

  • I have straight talk - the Nokia e71, and even though the phone is decent enough...and the price is AMAZING...I'm starting to want a real smart phone - like an Android.

The thing about straight talk, the unlimited plan for cheap is a very shiny quality...but it does lose it's shine after a few months of having mediocre phones.

  • @ncPsychosis I am about to buy the E71 for the wifi feature

  • @BlissfulOasis After the Nokia e71, that's it...you can't get anymore of an advanced phone for Straight Talk, which means after you get bored...you'll have to move on to another company.

  • PISAMBA dot COM is the site.. it works

  • hey u can get ring tones off of myxer.com off ur phone

  • @StrivenStudios i know i told someone that a few days ago in the comments

  • how are the calls? I have the LG that uses the verizon network. So far it's great.

  • Can you use a mp3 as a ringtone?

  • does anyone know if you can use bluetooth ringtones

  • walmart online is now $78.. so you tell me you cant download MP3 ringtones from the phone WAP browser?? it should though.. the $99 phone can.

  • @Titanator2010 You can download from sites like Myxer from the wap browser....I was pointing out that the link in the menu of the phone to download ringtones does not do anything, not all ST phones will even let you download from myxer such as the LG flip phone the sell

  • @BlissfulOasis i still want the phone.. its online only and it went down 74.88 and my friend had a phone like that and i tried other sites and its saying unsupported file content or something.. but myxer 100% works??

  • @Titanator2010 myxer works last time i tried........a few weeks ago it had the option to log into email and now straight talk took that feature off so the things you can and can't do change but at the moment myxer works with this cell

  • @BlissfulOasis i got the phone and i like it.. there is a site you can download ringtones.. PISAMBA .. thats the site.. you have to register/login to get the link and wap it on the phone browser.

  • I bought a micro sd card and transferred a bunch of pictures and music onto it, but can't access my pictures. Anyone know how to do that??

  • U should have gotten this phone with net10 prepaid service....their service is great and now they have new prepaid cards...for 50.00 u get unlimited or for 25.00 u get 750 min..plus they still have the old cards..plus this phone can do much more like email and video through net 10...and yes it is the exact phone...

  • @amberv216 I might have if the store would have had it. I got my other cell from Verizon turned off so when I went to the store I had to come out with something as a replacment and this is just about all they had. I wonder why they took the video and all that off the phone.

  • Buying ringtones and graphics worked fine for me.

  • i have this phone its pretty cool!

  • i got this phone for $95.77 dollars total with the 2 to 3 day shipping..at walmart.com it should be coming tommorow

  • hold down the space bar to get the locked keyboard

  • All I can say is you get what you pay for. I have this phone, it is the second phone I have with StraightTalk. The phone may not be that great but its better than the cheaper phones.

You can not find service any cheaper. $45 a month for unlimited Text, Talk, and "Internet"

  • @simply6foot2 Boost Mobile has a plan that I think starts out just a little more expensive than Straight talks service and If you add cards on time you can get the monthly plan to go down eventually I think you can get Unlimited text, talk, and web for 35 bucks a month plus with boost you can call Canada and Mexico

  • i have this phone. Payin $45 per month for unltd.

  • Thanks for the more clear explanation of its web enabled services. When they say 'web enabled' I would assume a smartphone-like browser that would let you get to google, facebook, etc. Knowing it does not have that, I'll look towards the Samsung R451C for the wife to just phone and txt.

  • @BHShaman It can go on facebook and google but it is very limited what you can do there and takes so long its not worth using most of the time......... I think the smartphone straightalk makes would be much better for web browsing but I have not got to try it out yet

  • From everything I've heard, I don't really get how anyone would want to stay on a contract plan that charges them way more, doesn't always have good reception, and is always adding charges for random things like activating accounts. Straight Talk is affordable, I mean $45 unlimited everything? that's ridiculous!

  • @madmenpeggyrocks I agree plans are expensive but I would only say 45 with straight talk gets unlimited talk and txt as the data is not really usable I wish I had sprint coverage in my area so I could use boost mobile it is just a tad more than straight talk and u can get unlimited calling even out of the states...straight talk currently will not let you call anywhere outside of the united states which is a limitation for a lot people and another reason people still have contracts

  • I've had this phone since April, and I must say, this phone has been really worth the money. I have had literally like 7 phones thus far in my life (I'm 17 lol) and this one is STILL kicking. Although, the screen broke two weeks ago due to a freak accident with my laptop. Thats another story lol. But I can still manage to read the screen, but the liquid crystals are beginning to blur out and turn black and stuff, so I'll be needing a new phone really soon.

  • But the quality has been amazing. I literally drop the phone on pavement, concrete, wood floors, at least three times a day, and it usually gets thrown (on accident) daily, and aside from the usual scratching from wear & tear, & the cracked screen, the phone is in pristine condition. Never seen a phone that could be buried in a snow bank, dropped in sink of water, crushed by metal tool, stepped on, thrown, punched, & evrythng else, and still work like brand new. This phone has been really nice!

  • @JayJayBarnz dude you must put your electronics through hell lol I would recommend a strong case for it but have not seen any in the store for this model

  • @BlissfulOasis I actually do have a case for mine. I used it when I first got the phone, all through the summer, but decided to take it off when school started. I got mine of eBay, and there are quite a bit of different designs & such...its a simple two piece plastic case that snaps on. Does the job really well actually. It's a bitch to take off haha

  • @JayJayBarnz Search for Samsung Freeform case. Because the phone is actually the Freeform model, but ST uses the technical name for it, which is R355C. That may help you out some, if you didn't already know that :/

  • @JayJayBarnz I don't really think I need a case considering I don't put my phone through all the stuff you put yours through lol but some of those cases do help protect a phone quite a bit I know someone that has this super thick case on his i phone and he drops it as much as he breathes but it has not broken yet

  • @JayJayBarnz I had a friend that got a case stuck on a bb strom we tried to open it and almost threw it across the room in the process

  • @BlissfulOasis I actually called ST, and they are sending me a new phone (same model of course) for FREE! A friend on mine did the same thing, and they got TWO phones for free. Maybe I'll be lucky?? haha

  • you first start saying that with this phone you can't down load apps etc....its not the phone its the service.......then you state you paid almost 200 for the phone, but then turn around and say that you paid about 100 for the phone and 45 for the plan......umm did you fail math?

  • @wild14u2cnow um no I did not fail math that was rounding up we have eight cents per dollar tax where i live some places ten and be it that the cell phone was 100 bucks and the phone card was just shy of 50 with tax that is a hell of a lot closer to 200 than you or I would want to pay

  • @pdonaldson789 I don't really distrust Wal-Mart. I like the store. Always have and always will I reckon. I have worked there before and yeah, not the best of experiences but not the worst.

That was my point exactly. Unlimited everything to do what a phone is made for - communicate.

  • @shadowdude445 I can't communicate when I keep getting dropped calls on a daily basis their coverage map needs to be more accurate

  • @BlissfulOasis I wasn't talking to you? o_o And I'm pretty sure we covered your service in my last comment to you when I said "Sorry if the service is bad."

  • @shadowdude445 lol sorry about that people just keep trying to defend the phone for some reason and attacking me because I am sharing my honest opinion about my experience with it

  • i just got this phone off their website for free with the purchase of a $30 airtime card!!!!! : )

  • $200 phone?? you can get it for free on the website right now til december 31 when you buy a service plan

  • i pay 30 a month for unlimited talk and text from at&t

  • Can you sync your email on this phone? I LOVE straight talk its super legit just got out of a contract with sprint, I have better coverage with these guys too.

  • @truthisthere13 you can not download an app for email or anything but u can use the browser to log on to email but it is hard to read anything and navigate

  • Alright, really... you bought this from Wal-Mart and you expected better? lol C'mon. Wal-Mart's been out to break its employees souls (and backs for that matter) and squeeze every penny out of you it can. Ever wonder why the Lay Away is gone? ;)

And btw, phones are PHONES. All they really need is talk and text. All that other stuff is nice to have, but you own a cell usually for the sole reason of communication. Sorry if the service is bad. I didn't make it that far in the review. xD

  • @shadowdude445 true "phones are PHONES" but try telling that to the 1+billion people that use a phone every day for things other than calling as far as going to walmart it was a spur of the moment thing I had to get something to get me buy for a few months after I canceled my contract this review was just suppose to reflect my opinion about the phone and service I wouldn't have been so harsh if it wasn't being advertised to do all things things other than be a "phone" that it can't do very well

  • i just ordred this phone of the web sight for $45 and $15 over night shipping and it come with a $45 unlimeted card and it was $65.15

  • @coolbreez78 look at the date I posted this It was a few months ago the prices drop over time

  • Don't get Net10! It flat out sucks bad. I should know I'm using one now :( Save your money. :)

  • @omvnation Yea I really wish alltel U-prepaid was still available that was my fav plan for prepaid phones but since verizon took over the prices have hit the roof

  • @omvnation at the time I got this phone it was just to get me by because verison had me locked into a contract that I found a way to cancel they had me paying 100+ bucks a month for very few min and it was not even a smart phone I got this phone because everyone was raving about it and I needed something until I found a better deal I have never used net10 though but it probably works better than this one

  • honestly, i'd say a lot of your troubles are coming from where you live, maybe..

  • I just received this phone FOR FREE from Straight Talk. It is a "refurbished" phone, but it came with the plastics still on it.

I really like this phone....especially for the price. ;)

You can buy ringtones and graphics through Straight Talk and they will message them to you. I HAVE NEVER HAD A DROPPED CALL WITH STRAIGHT TALK.

  • @MisterFlaherty glad you have had better luck than I have

  • i cant see anything its soo blurry! :(

  • you should have went to walmart thats for 78 bucks

  • @jigglejack100 I did go to walmart

  • @BlissfulOasis ow i ment the web site

  • @jigglejack100 someone told me all the ones on the website are messed up lol

  • @BlissfulOasis well thanks for the heads up but for a person who want to get started and want a phone with a keyboard is this good also can you go on youtube on this or any web???

  • @jigglejack100 I think I said in the video there was no youtube the web browser on this phone is the worst I have ever used on a cell phone It is not a full html browser but a wap browser and no flash support so you can not watch videos on this phone and the camera does not take video either

  • I have never had a dropped call on mine

  • get this on net 10 they offer the service

  • lol i have the same phone but the 1000 minute one later on this month getting the unlimited plan all i gotta say is this phone kicks ass

  • @SweetnSassyChick2629 lol if you say so

  • @BlissfulOasis well it is a good phone if u don't got something nice to say then don't be leaving me a comment all right i have had this phone for a few days now i am going to be making a review about it myself if u don't believe me

  • @SweetnSassyChick2629 Im not trying to be mean I just have had this phone a few months and don't like it there is a bug in my firmware, I have had to call customer service a few times because i was not able to add airtime and I get dropped calls on a daily basis I just don't like it when people say it is a great phone just because the plan is cheaper and nothing else just my opinion though

  • @BlissfulOasis well i am sorry to hear that but i have had no trouble with my phone yet so think what u think cause i think its a good phone and my phone hasn't had any drop calls or had anything wrong with it maybe its a bad batch or something well anyway i wish u luck with it either way

  • @BlissfulOasis oh and it also depends on where u got the phone if u got it from the straight talk site then u will have problems with it or it good be a bad batch of phones but i wish u luck with it and hope u get it fixed

  • I reckon this phone's gonna be my straight talk up grade for next year. The open qwerty for me is much nicer than the slider version - just makes the phone too bulky. And unfortunately the nokia's are too expensive for me. Especially to replace. At least this way is a definite upgrade from my lg290.

  • Dude your review is way out of date man. The 4 phones you see at wal-mart are just basic ones and priced very nicely. Take the samsung r451C, a phone like that would cost you at least a hundred bucks with a 2 year contract. Plus if you live in an area with ATT they have a plethora of phones available online like the samsung t401g which is a higher quality r451c. Also, they have the nokia e71 and 6790. both very high quality phones so yeah do some research or update your stuff.

  • @BakkaAmerican I have many friends that have used straight talk and they are not happy either when a phone has bugs in the firmware and it overpriced which these are I sure am not going to make an update video if you want to pay 100+ bucks for a cell phone which through another carrier would be given away for free just for using there service have fun :-)

  • @BlissfulOasis

ah see you are partially correct, some of the phones have bugs but that is like saying a cell phone companies customer service sucks. Surprise all cell companies customer service sucks. ATT is horrid and Verizon had to pay millions for false and over billing. Plus those phones are "free", you can get it for free buy signing a two year contract and paying a minimum of 45 bucks plus tax for a plan that is inferior to straight talks at the same price.

  • Straightalk have some really good smartphone options. This review is a little out of date. This Samsung phone is a good basic phone, but if you are looking for more, look aththeir website. You can get a smartphone on the unlimited $45 a month deal, which is the cheapest deal around.

  • @searover88 I don't see what good it will do if the data transfer rate is so slow because I do not think it is 3g on any straight talk phone if it is then it might be a good deal

  • @BlissfulOasis Um, not to be rude or anything, but these guys are kind of right. They have phones with 3G now: the Nokia E71 and the Nokia 6790. The E71 is a full fledged smartphone.

  • @Sonic6293 I wish they had had that when i bought this piece o crap :-P I would update if they ever offered a BB

  • well its three g an i travel an i have not lost signal yet an i have been all north an south

  • @mustangmikesvt it is not 3G the phones data transfer rates are the equivalent of dial up on a cell phone LOL I can tell you it is not a 3G phone

  • well guys an gals i got the same phone an i never had a drop call or anything. But the phone does lack in its features so yea but they have two new phones out which are smart phones an the one i am getting is the nokia e71 so its a nice upgrade so go check it out

  • @mustangmikesvt make sure you have at&t towers or your phone will not work. With that type of phone it contains a sim card. With those types including the sim card it only goes off of at&t towers instead of the verizon. believe been there done that!

  • i wanna get this one..but im not sure rather to get this one or the finesse.

what do you think i should do??

  • @caitlinlaw12 I wish I would have gotten the flip phone or the slider rather than this one as I think they keys are too small but it is your choice

  • I wonder if there is any difference in the features between straight talk and net10 because net10 has this phone too and i was thinking of getting it but after this review im not so interested in it anymore..

  • straight talk has no cell phone service in Cumberland, Md

  • straight talk is monitored, so i suggest that yu do not plot against anyone at all using that phone (not that yu should plot against people anyways)!!!

  • @BerTinVan2012 I couldn't plot if i wanted to for all the dropped calls
