  • a 2.5 inch downpipe with 3 inch exhaust...I don't get it

  • @Chevyguy2003 the downpipe was setup so that i could make it larger when I make more power but provide the proper flow for now

  • sweet! i got an 09 LT :D cant wait to start doing some stuff to it.

  • @darthjerky

its alot of fun :) post up some vids once you get er modded a bit!

  • @trh9490

What mpg are you getting now?

    What size injectors?

What are the exact cam specs?(I cannot find any cams designed for a 2.2 cobalt, was thinking maybe you used the 2.0/2.4 comp cam?

What do you think of trifecta performance custom tunes?

  • @Trey3212

    vince is amazing.

I actually get t work with him in person since i live withing 30 min of him and was not only the first 2.2 tuned by him, but the first 2.2 tuned EVER. (and first cobalt tuned by him haha). Him and I have had a good time getting it to work perfectly and still get together to tune when needed.

  • do the MRZ pulleys make much of a difference?

  • @ncs553

they help it rev faster but loose power in between shifts as the rotating mass doestn keep it all moving..

  • Does this car pass emissions after all the mods?

  • dunno

havent had to run emissions hahahaha

  • 20 years ago I had a Dodge Dart with a small block V8 that made similar power and ran similar times. So to see a 4 cylinder do that is nice. But I have to ask, what's the point? I'm not bashing you, I just don't get it. If it's all you have to work with, that's allright, and like I said nice job.But why a n/a Cobalt?

  • Thanks! Its been quite a trip :P

as for why hahaha, i get asked that alot ;). Part of it is that its what I have, its my daily driver, bought it new back in 06 and so I work on what I have. Thats why Im working on it, why im building it N/A instead of boost is partly becasue no one really does this anymore (build n/a) and partially because everyone has always said you cant make power n/a on smaller engines...so Im here to prove people wrong :D Thanks again!

  • I will say this... The 2.2 back in 06 was $5k cheaper than the 2.4SS and $8k cheaper than the 2.0SS.

That gives the owner $5-8K to spend on mods.

Plus you get LS rate insurance.

  • Also, the Dodge Dart got nowhere near 33mpg.

  • i spent a bit on mine cause i rolled neg equity into it and no downpayment....bought it when i was 18 and spent too much cause i was young and dumb.

but, that being said...i have already reached the 5-8k mark :P

  • new qtr vid, track prep done this time, pulled a 14.95

  • sure is tuned by vince :D

and 1/4 mile run is up...crappy track prep though

  • nice tuned by trifecta

  • Thanks :) vince and i have done alot of work getting everything all good to go :D

  • how I want see it on 1/4:)
