You can't. It's an illusion. Your ears think that it's a longer note than it really is. All notes are the same length.

Not bad.

The obvious problem is you don't have room enough to time the vocal sounds correctly.

Doubling the tempo and spacing the rest of the notes apart should solve that. :)

You are right to not be happy with this one. It's not your fault; just a hard song to do on Mario Paint. You can't quite get the tempo needed for the faster parts (ie, All my troubles seem so far away) which doesn't help at all. Still, for the resources it was nicely done.

Yeah, I realize now that I could probably have doubled or quadrupled the tempo in MPC and spaced everything out more...this would have given me some wiggle room to play with the placement of those notes.

I probably won't redo this one, but it's something I'm more aware of now!!

Yeah, as much as people have asked me to do it I've looked into it. I'm just not really sure what to do with it yet. So no immediate plans to do it, but I think I'll do it eventually. =)
