  • Love this scene. I wish that I were that girl that Sonny grabs and kisses. So sexy! Sigh.......

  • I need to try this: say girl she is nutcase with an atitute problem and then kiss her :D

  • One of the best MV episode with "forgive us our sins"

  • My favorite MV episode.

    Thanks for uploading.

    What's the song at 3:15 -4:11?

  • Great scene. Don Johnson at his best. Suave and very cool.

  • Damn, I watch one Belinda Carlye video and I've been trapped in the 80's for two hours watching vids. .

Anyone know a way to go back, PLEASE let me know. I really try not to think about that time but I miss it way too much!!

  • One of the best episodes without a doubt.

  • beautiful episode, but that music that begins at 3:08 is incredible. is this on the soundtrack? Jan Hammer is amazing!

    LOOK IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!

  • @Laughfiend65 it's a slow version of "New York Theme". i wish i had this version, because it's really cool

  • @konsziKTG oh ok thats cool. thanks dude i appreciate it

  • @konsziKTG Was'nt the same theme played when Tubbs got shot. I can't remember the season when the shooting occurred. I do know somewhere in the series there is a longer version of the 3.08 theme. Been trying to get it for a while. Always loved MV. At nearly 60 it still for me remains the best cop series ever. Visited Miami in the 90's. A lot has changed since then.

  • @Maxab10 the only episode in which Tubbs got shot was Viking Bikers from Hell. Don't remember this piece in that episode though. Yea, some of the Jan Hammer music can be hard to find. There is a guy that has recreated some of it here on youtube. just search for bosagentos and you'll find it. yea, vice is my favorite show. I bet miami is a lot different then on vice.

  • Respond to this video... Great scene. Don Johnson at his best. Suave and very cool.

  • @konsziKTG ooohhh ok thanks man i appreciate it. how did u know though?

  • i have every season on dvd and would like to share but i don't know how

  • i agree one of the best episodes of miami vice also the greatest show of all time hands down

  • The best episode of Miami Vice are: Definitley Miami, Brother's keeper 1/2, Nobody Lives Forever and The Prodigal Son!

  • OMG I can't believe I found this clip!! From 2:10 to 2:50 is hands down the most sensual, erotic forty seconds I've ever seen on TV. THANKS!

  • One of the best scenes in the series. I love the two gay guys at the end: "Do you think it likes her?" The music in the background... Back in the 80s, that's how we lived. Wild night in bars, crazy women, an occasional foggy-headed morning in a bedroom not your own. Oh, it was a great time to be young.

  • O my gosh..Don Johnson was definitively the sexiest man ever when he was young...From the way he licks the cigarette to the way he grabs the girl close to him and bites her lips..uaaauuu...and then the kiss was sooo sexy..you're still a good looking guy DJ!!;-)

  • what's name of U2 SONG?

  • @eddioarddio "(Pride) In the Name of Love"

  • The Scene on 2:04 is soo Cool .. I Love it .. The way she Looks because of him saying this. It reminds me of how I would handle this .. lol

  • Was he gorgeous or was he gorgeous.

Don Johnson will love you forever.

  • @246Gill He nailed this role.Hell im not "gay" but he was the man in those days.Hes a better looking bloke than she is a bitch. She WAS a bitch btw.

  • @246Gill The bloke was the man.

  • Most passionate kiss of Don on Miami Vice!.Great episode

  • I agree, Sonny had her number before she started with her "Coquettish" act :):):). Now that is an antiquated word hah? I love the "Doing Work" course. Of course it would have to be a MASTER's level course, and you MUST QUALIFY for them. I guess it would be pretty hard to provide empirical data for the proof. AND another thing, why didn't MANN provide more "TOP SHELF HUNNIES" for Sonny, as cool and smooth as he was, it MANDATES it. Sheena Easton was the best of his "Kills" hahahaha.

  • Crockett's handling of that chick's "hard to get... I'll get him interested by me NOT acting interested" routine was 100 percent superfly. He ought to teach college courses. He could call it "How Guys Handle Bidness 101".

  • Grab the audio from this video at speedyconversion doht cohm.

  • Does anyone recognize the cab driver at 2:24.....It is Ken Ober, the MTV Remote Control host. Actually he is now the late Ken Ober. R.I.P. Ken.

  • @chevysean I just saw this rerun twice this weekend and didn't recognize it ! Good Call !

  • Classy, classy, very classy!

  • Don effin Johnson is the king of awesome

  • And on another RANT, How in the world did Jamie Foxx get nominated for an OSCAR in Collateral, over the BRILLIANT work that Tom Cruise did as "Vincent!!!!" The man got ROBBED!!!!!! Tom absoloutely nailed "Vincent" and should have been atleast nominated, and not the whiny and pathetic character that Jamie Foxx played. Anyone else say it this way as well? HOLLYWOOD as always, makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE!!!!!! 1995 HEAT FOREVER, 2004 COLLATERAL FOREVER!!!

  • @thebakerman1, thanks for the response. I will have to check out that New York Theme again, and see if that is indeed correct :). I absolutely LOVE MIAMI VICE, and will always love the series. I could not stand "Plastic-Ass" Collin Farell, as Sonny Crockett, to say NOTHING about Jamie Foxx as Tubbs. IN MY VERY OPINIONATED STAND, Michael Mann would have have an ABSOLUTE BLOCK-BUSTER, if he had cast Brad Pitt as Sonny, and Will Smith as Ricardo. That was a NO BRAINER, if you ask me!!!!!

  • @MARKSMAN45ACP ... Brad Pitt wouldn't work. Too big an actor, too big an ego = too distracting to play Crockett. Will Smith as Tubbs? Eh... feels too much like Jamie Foxx. Problem with Foxx is that his Tubbs tried too hard to be smooth and hardcore. Smith would've brought the same formula. Besides, Smith was offered the role but didn't want it. Not sure who the ideal is to play Crockett... but if I were Mann, I would've cast Terrence Howard as Tubbs. Now THAT's the no-brainer.

  • @dgware the Terrence Howard call is genius, well done :)

  • its just as in real life!

  • Sonny teaching doormats around the world how to deal with hot flaky women.

    *smokes cigar*

    Crockett style.

  • @MARKSMAN45ACP ....in this clip ? the song after huey lewis I believe is the slower version of the NY theme

  • o. m. g.

i would kill for that man, seriously. (and i am only 22)

  • @rosenrot201 u shud see Don Johnson now lol hes got a fat face LOL

  • @TheGoodfella31 i knoow :D i just shut my eyes from the dream destroying truth. why the heck is that man old...!!!

  • @rosenrot201 LOL happens to all of us

  • This was one of my favorite episodes of Miami Vice. I would of called it "Homecoming". It kind of answered some questions about Tubb's past. How can I forget the ladies in the show? They where all hot. The Crockett sence is nuts.

  • @MARKSMAN45ACP

The music is a variation of "New York Theme", which is on the 2 CD set "Miami Vice: The Complete Collection". The full version of "New York Theme" is on the CD, however, the shorter variant your asking about here is not included.

Hammer only provided the most popular scores of the series on the CD set in their full studio version. There were many shorter versions of his scores that are not included anywhere except on the specific episodes themselves. I have the 2 CD set!!

  • As if . . .

Reality would have been vastly different had this really occurred!

  • Nothing can beat don johnson in his blue verace suit with U2 and huey lewis playing and he swoons a girl...you gotta love the eighties

  • I still have The Prodigal Son on VHS. Directed by Paul Michael Glaser no less. One of my favourites. Jan Hammer's score rules. God I miss the 80's. Miami Vice is so cool.

  • @neogoth2012

"all you have to know is that you are just along for the ride. its a big boat, why rock it?"

dr.evil moment for lloyd blankfein and jamie dimon.

  • The songs were great on this show but I really loved Jan Hammer's instrumentals especially Crockett's Theme, Evan, and Crockett's Return

  • The best sensual escene of Miami Vice

  • Nice..U2 playing in the back ground..Checkout 80's on 8 Sirius/XM Radio

  • Thank you so much !

  • From 1:47 to 1:55, what did Don Johnson say exactly ? is there somebody here can help me by writing his words please ?

    Thank you so much !

  • Pretty weak 2 part episode

  • i hate her for 2:13 :D

  • This was really ahead of its time for television.

  • @stargell777 Did You Like Miami Vice?

  • I think that "Maggie" in Prodigal Son is stunning, but then again I have a penchant for women with short hair and ballet shoes! In no way is she ugly, there is a certain "something" about her. Let's not forget that Crockett was an ordinary sort of guy. Most of what we saw on the show was Crockett undercover and "in character", and not James Sonny Crockett as himself

  • The cab driver died today...I think that's Ken Ober.

  • I love the rare version of "New York Theme" 03:14 but is no avaliable in Jan Hammer's album....is cool!

  • yea, tha'd be great if he would put it on one of his cds. a very nice piece

  • In some Miami Vice episodes appears some rare versions of Jan Hammer songs and they are so cool but is no available in his albums

  • i know. i've been trying to build a miami vice soundtrack collection for a long time. i have a lot of the music, but still missing quite a bit. some of the stuff from other artists is kind of hard to find too. there are a couple tracks from viking bikers from hell i'd really like to have. some other episodes too

  • Season 2 opening episode: Vice at its apex of popularity, DJ looking the most handsome and fit of his lifetime, coolest outfit he ever wore, and they matched him up with this mutt?? Fire the casting director.

  • sonny went out with some off-beat looking women, so it's not inconsistent. anyway, she was pretty cool and played the role well. i thought she was good

  • @isaachaze1 Decent actress but hard to look at-particularly in the light of how bright the DJ star was shining at that time. Maybe he wanted it that way to remain the unmitigated focus of attention, but it is a physical mismatch by any reasonable standards. Hollywood was and always is well stocked with dazzling female talent, hence my original question, "why her?"

  • beauty is in the eye of the beholder for one thing and i didn't find her to be that ugly (not really my type; but not ugly). i was simply pointing out that it is not inconsistent with other women sonny went out with such as kim greist (nobody lives forever) or even his wife caroline. his most conventionally beautiful love-interest was arrielle dombasle (definately miami) who was definately a knock-out. your point is well-taken though. cheers

  • @isaachaze1 Solid points all around. My thoughts exactly on Arrielle. Her caliber is more of what I'd have expected him to have been paired with routinely, but with the exception of Sheena, your point is well taken. I had forgotten Caroline, but at the time of her pilot debut there was no telling how much his star was about to rise. cheers to you as well.

  • shes cute and she played the role well.

"we are talking about hundreds of millions of dollars.. they aren't going to repay them by making straw bags and clay pots" dr.evil moment from slim version of ken lewis in prodigal son.

  • Played the role well-yes. Cute? At best. Total mismatch? Absolutely. But then again I also preferred Crockett's line, "Are you going somewhere with this or are you just runnin' laps?"

  • seems like you like DJ.....? :O

"all you need to know is you're just along for the ride, its a big boat, why rock it?"

  • I don't care if it's the USS Enterprise, pal.

  • what an AUTHENTIC scene... ALL women are PSYCHO!!!

  • Best episode of Vice ever!!

  • I agree with you! The best episode ever!

  • @chabadoogi PERIOD!

  • @chabadoogi It was the best i think. There were early episodes with Bill Russell once and Sweaty Teddy etc...but this was awesome.

  • Fuckin a...great song. Great scene!

  • if you never seen this classic miami vice they take over ny!!!

  • I love the music that starts at 3:03.

  • That's the slow version of New York Theme from Jan Hammer

  • classic line!! "last thing I need is to waste time on a nutcase with an attitude problem" beautiful!!!
