  • I Love The Old U.S. Airways Better then The New Ones.

  • Hey, the Airbus A318 goes transatlantic, every day, from London to JFK. Theres no reason why the 757 couldn't do it!

  • love da video love da planes love da airlines

  • too bad continental is joining with united. :(

  • @flightlevel350 I've once taken a delta 767-400 from JFK-ATL in economy. it was awesome and very comfy, and they even served cookies with the delta logo on it!!!!!

  • I never thought 757's are flown overseas.

  • boeing

  • Do 757's fly across the Atlantic now????! :O

  • @kev6848 @kev6848 Im flying one in August i hate it! such an uncomfortable ride in economy especially when im six foot three! oh and i'm flying from Hamburg Germany to new york

    !

  • I love to see those heavies take off!

  • Nice catch for some action. Any 777 action over that way?

  • It was in the SkyTeam

  • a 757??...transatlantic?

  • @wilatemodel I guess the 757 is ETOPS qualified.

  • @wilatemodel it becoming much more common now. united, american and continental all fly their 757 to heathrow these days

  • @wilatemodel Oh yes! British airways is even using a318 for a transatlantic flight... so it would mean that a 757 is totally possible.

  • 3:27 CONTINENTAL IS NOT IN THE SKYTEAM

  • @mileyrocks107 It was in 2008.

  • @TacomaAttorney oh yeah i remember, they switched

  • delta <3

  • 757s suck. continental sucks. PERIOD my favorite passenger planes are the embraer erj-170, the airbus a330-200, and the 767-200ER

  • @darknight16100 PERIOD we don't care

  • 757s suck. continental sucks. PERIOD

  • @darknight16100 757s are awesome. Dec. 22 will be my second time on one with Delta.

  • compare those takeoffs with watch?v=MrDzcTX4wZI - use 2 windows and align them to time of adding power to engines :) that much much bigger a380 is in 300ft, while these are just picking nose up from runway :) maybe because was an air show with good wind and is probably empty, but anyway ... what a difference :)

  • but the last one is a 757 :)

  • Thats a 767-400 not a 757-200, thats a big difference!

  • I I I like it :D

  • Looks like it was quiet windy on that day. I also like the B757, Awesome plane! Thanks for the video...

  • The only advantage of the 757 v 767 is better performance. Useful to get you quickly out of dangerous terrain like Quito.

  • thats a 767

  • muuuuuuyyyyyy bien me gusta¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • that video sux :( epic fail

  • 757 & 767 almost look the same. Wonder if they fly the same...

  • @DCussen To be honest yeah they do. 767's are heavy and are not as overpowered and dont have a quicker climb rate as the 75, But the 757 looks and sounds more sensational than the 767!

  • @DCussen

    they dont ;)

  • @DCussen well all the 757 and 767 are are bigger models of the 737, 767 has a twin aisle config and a little wider. these planes are ageing tho now. time for 787 dreamliner and 747-8

  • Continental gained speed FAST!!

  • Out of all of them i'd rather be on the US Airways A330

  • nice livery.

  • I got a question itz probly a stupied question but boeing 757's are not in service could someone put a order in or no because itz not in service

  • Used continental 757 for transaltlantic ok but delta 767 was better

  • Comment removed

  • The way the economy is now, they'll be utilizing A320s A319s and 737s across the atlantic. Air Canada already uses the A319 from St Johns to London and Flyglobespan goes from Boston to Glasgow on the 737! Maybe the'll start using express jet embraers erj 145s to cross the atlantic! Would anyone be uncomfortable in an erj 145 over the atlantic?

  • @Polynesian576 i doubt that only a VERY FEW airlines would do that

  • Those Delta colors were the best along w/ the old old ones when the noses were black in the front

  • wouldnt like to fly on a 757 across to america... :/

  • I'm with you on that, they are my fav aircraft but kinda chocked up for a Transatlantic flight.

  • @Maxxtris85 i didnt even know a 757 was capable of doing transatlantic routes until talking to a mate who told me they put another fuel tank on to add extra range. 787 dreamliner will replace 767 and 757

  • @greengoblin200 yea true that

  • just got back to MAN using the Continetal 757, they are fantastic to fly on (with continental) the AVOD was great

  • nice to see a 757/200 with over wing exits rather then the smaller door behind the wing like we see on uk charter 757/200

  • commercial planes are soooooooo cute i love them..........and when those engines kick off ohhhh boyyyy talk about power...talk about a christmas present if i can get one of those lol....

  • Yea you're right, its a 764! I should of noticed the doors more carefully.

Must be the video display, making it look shorter than it actually is! :)

  • that is clearly a 767-400. notice the raked wingtips? 762's don't have that

  • Comment removed

  • You sure thats a Delta 764? Looks like a 762.

Great video! Love this angle from Manchester!

  • If that is a 762, I will eat the plane... the whole thing!

Besides, Delta doesn't have any 762ERs, only domestic on the 762.

  • love those 757 engine sounds

  • The a330 and a340 has pretty steep downward angle while the Boeing 767 has little upward angle.

  • this was the first time i viewed an airplane like the first clip and is all airplanes kinda slanted downwards or is it just the a330?

  • I'ma pilot of the Continental 757. On flight simulator that is.

  • US Airways and United are horrible. On a 6 hour flight, they only serve drinks twice with NO PRETZELS OR PEANUTS WATSOEVER. Continental and Delta are better than them.

  • United is gettin caught up in the recession.

  • i flew with us airways and my service was exellent but i was in business class

  • @AznPwnageFTW

not their fault. its whatever the airport's ground crew offers them. but it does matter if usA or united decide to pay them.

since Delta bought NWA, you're gunna see some major changes.

  • If it were simply the lack of food on USA carriers , fine, but it is the down right rudeness and contempt that many crews seem to give, a take it or leave it attitude!!!

  • Where the big birdies fly!

  • wrong plane that is a 767-400

  • Comment removed

  • i work for delta stupid thats a 767-400 not a 757 im talking about the delta plane

  • YES CONTINENTAL!

  • I Love Continental!!

  • @CameraGuy321 me not i hate that company

  • @CameraGuy321 me tooo!!!!!!!!!!

  • continental is beast

  • lolz

  • love the captions at the bottom..great video!

  • OMG LOLOLO ROFLOL YOU ROCK

  • Comment removed

  • man listen to those RR roar!

  • Yeah, these engines are amazing!

  • EWR = Newark, NJ Airport

  • isn't it KEWR?

  • You are right, But that is only for ICAO purposes. "K" stands for every airport in the United States.

  • @OMFGitzDannyP Yeah K stands for US

  • wheres EWR

  • 737's are better then a CRJ and a MD-88

  • CRJ-700 tanks the 73

  • hey can u get easily by car at that spot? its not very clear if cars can go there

  • COOL

  • crjs r sssoooo boring

  • these are the size flown on 9/11

  • Comment removed

  • CRJ's junk, weight restrictions , little cross wind can't fly. They are almost as bad a Airbus, another French piece of shit.

    Fuck you fagboy6753

  • CRJ is Canadian lol it is also the most widely used light weight commercial jet i have no idea what your talking about. of course it cant fly in crosswind as well as a 747 it's a few tonnes lighter, use you head

  • screw u. airbuses do suck. i bet you havent even been on a CRJ. My family owns a CRJ-200 and it is an awesome plane to fly. If it was so crappy then why does basicly every airline out there fly them??? huh answer that idiot

  • Embraer is a much better aircraft then a CRJ.

  • Yes they are much better.. But CRJ's r still amazing planes.

  • Real nice comment...and intellegent too !!!

  • The CRJ-700 is better !!!

  • The seating sucks in Continental Airlines B757 rather fly the US AIRWAYS A330 or the Delta B767.

  • ITS EITHER BOEING OR I'M NOT GOING

  • NICE!!

  • where's manchester?

  • Just East of Eccles; where the cakes come from.

  • ENGLAND...TRY GOOGLE MAP

  • 757 is da best lookin thing around look at 767 big fat ugly looking thing

  • The 767 is one of the best out there!

  • why is this plane favored more than other planes?

  • 757-200 is the sexiest airliner around

  • and screw you all who think that 757's are ugly...they are so cool and unique!!!

  • @Hamoodi757 I absolutely love the 757's purely unique design.. like no other boeing product.

  • i coulnt agree more :)

  • nice man

  • I will be getting on a 757 in a few days time soo looking forward to it.

  • The Boeing 757 is a bbbeeeaaauuutttiiiiffuuulllll airplane ! ! ! ! !

  • 757 they are uggly with they small noise

  • how did the 757 "bounce" across the runway?

  • Nice-- 2.34...whats that?

  • For sara46762, Tom Hughes isn't the pilot. He's the one making the videos.

  • Is it just me? or did I see the left gear of the delta strike something on the runway at 2:34

  • yeah I saw it to

  • I have a question... Tom Hughes is the captain or the person who did this video?

this is my question for all of these videos...

  • OMG the 757-200 is soooooooo noisey from the inside, they need more sound proofing! i would know as i just got back from new york on one!!!!

  • i love continental and the b757 is my favorite aircraft!!! just amazing!!!

  • yup that delta was weird lolz

  • weeeird lift off at 2:44

  • how fast do they go before they take off?

  • about 180-200 knots.

  • More like 150 knots

  • wow.... at 2:43 the delta B764 seems to have difficulties in lifting itself up....

    is that my imagination ??

  • lol I notice that to. xD

  • no they are not having any problems it was a perfect liftoff

  • i will be flying to peru soon with the Boeing 757-200 does anybody know if it has the A.V.O.D and an AC/electrical plug? i'll be bringing my iPod which i know will need it for recharging.

itll be an 8 hour flight!

    thanks

  • well if u are going on continental airlines then yes it has avod and lugs !

  • Comment removed

  • I fly CO 101 about 5 times a year, i live in New York but am from the Wirral. Somebody please help, why on earth do they insist on cramming us into 2 bloody 757s. would it not make economic sense to send one 777 and join the two flights. Have they ever sent a larger plan across or has it always been the flying pig?

  • a few years ago they used to put 767 and once a 777...but now they insist on cramming us in 2 757's I feel your pain broha

  • 2 757's = more people than one 767 or one 777

  • was on a continental 757 few hours ago coming home from newark..best flight company iv been with

  • I love the funky TO rotation characteristics of the 767 haha.

  • should be the americans at ringway

  • wheres the american

    title wrong

    but outstanding vid

  • can you read?

  • i never knew a 757 can flew that distance

  • they can, they usually fly cross-country route, short routes, but sometimes they will fly from JFK to London Heathrow. I know United Airlines does. (When they have winglets that usually means its an international plane for Atlantic/Pacific crossings)

  • lol look at that continental 757 bouncing like hell...nice video...nice job with getting the routing, flight number, and callsign

  • when i was last at Manchester airport, i was seeing a few delta 767-400's, American 757's and 767's, US Airways a330's and 767's but i've never seen a northwest or United aircraft there

  • love the 67

  • a330 looks nice but too heavy on the nose

  • across the atlantic in a 757 ?! aaaarrrrgh couldnt do it, continental must be getting desperate:(

  • Yeah both continental and delta fly the 757 across from NY/Boston to England , its only 3000nm for the most, the 757 can make this haul no problema , its not the most luxurious flight in a 757 but it is economical for both airliners.

  • Where did u get Boston from? The only US Carriers offering trans-atlantic service from boston are American and Northwest

  • Well in 2001 continental flew direnctly from Boston to england on the 757 , but now it connnects in Newark if you are comming from boston.

  • I just got back from Florida where we had 4 flights (there and back) all in 757-200s (man-Newark/new-ft my/ft-my- Newark/new-man and it was one of the most comfortable flights I've been on.

  • Why? I flew on Continental 752 from CGN to EWR and back. It was a very comfortable, beautiful flight.

  • us air sends the 757 to amsterdam and london (i believe london gatwick)

  • i'm from the netherland but i've never saw a us airways 757 only a delta and north west 757 at schiphol.

    greetz

  • they also send the a330 to gatwick :)

  • with oil prices, who wouldn't?

  • So?! Northwest goes to Amsterdam from Detroit with a 757-200WL.

  • im flying to cyprus soon with thomson..would you no what aircraft it would be on..is it the 757-200

  • well go on their website.

  • ive been on everytime i go on where it says carrier it says unknown

  • well

to wich airport in cyprus r u going ?

  • paphos airport

  • you are going with a 757.

  • thanks m8..hope i didnt put you out

  • oh no its no prob :)

  • When does the 757 bounce?

  • This must be an older vid coz US197 is now US735

  • great video, my favorite is the airbus a330-300, but I love the others

  • The 757 has a beutiful sound. Nice video

  • excellent video....it also inspired me to find the 'mound' next to runway 2....brilliant views from there
