I feel this game chronicles the abusive relationship between SEGA and hardcore Sonic fans. SEGA repeatedly beats them about the head with crappy games, but Sonic fans remain starry-eyed and defensive. "I can change him!" they cry, no matter how many black eyes they have to explain away with "I mach speeded into a door."

This game (and this stage) was the final straw, the proverbial hospital trip that forced an intervention. Fortunately, SEGA got counseling, and we're much happier now.

I thought voice acting was mostly good in this game. The dialogue is stupid, though, but the actors did their best with what they had.

At first I disliked Silver's voice, but it grew on me, and I think it suits him, a boring stupid ninny that he is.

I'm half convinced at least 1/4 of the frustration these guys went through was due to their ways of playing and not the game. There were times where I just yell "Move" or "Go that way".

@SoraWTK True indeed. They made the glitches and bad design of the game as an excuse to not play as their best.

There are some times where the character is stuck and out of control for few seconds but nobody except the current player actually notice that it happened again, they just yell "move" like idiots.

@SoraWTK Yes, I agree. A few days ago I finished playing the game for the first time and after two game-overs (it's still a pretty hard stage to go through blind) I managed to beat it without that much trouble the third time through.

Still one of the best LPs ever out there though.

The mechanic reminds me of Sandopolis.. the way you have to turn on the light to stop things from raping you as it gets darker. But yeah.. so glad I never got this game.
