He certainly does still draw comics. Great stuff, of course. He's the guy who did most of the cowboy scenes on the Martin guitar cowboy series. I guess they're not exactly comic books but related. He has a beautiful website. The Novelty Hut.
Hey, thanks for asking. I'm Keith Cary and Bob and I both live in Winters, CA. He and I've played in bands together for decades. I'm a repairman and instrument builder. This one went to a customer in Sacramento. It's the first baritone uke I've built, though I've played DGBE instruments since I was in high school. I based it on the outline of my Favilla, though this one has a 20" scale and light fan bracing, in addition to the (non) exotic woods. More vids to follow.
Hello -- I'm Jeff a.k.a. Humble Uker and I do the baritone ukulele blog called Humble Baritonics. I would love to see Bob Armstrong play some more. I have seen him play with Sourdough Slim up in Sonora and I think also at Mike DaSilva's UkeMaker Shop. Mr. Armstrong also plays a saw. You don't really introduce yourself -- who are you and where do you build. I will post this video over on Humble Baritonics. Thanks

This is legendary "underground" cartoonist Robert Armstrong, isn't it?!? I absolutely love his work and I'm trying to find more of it!!!
This is a lovely tune, really put a smile on my face! Do you know if Mr. Armstrong still draws comics?
