  • @ 1:52 you said drill out, the center, How did you do that? Did you use a drill or does sandpaper work?

  • Dude this is the best one ever!!!! Great job man!!!

  • por q chvcha esta en ingles????

  • dood u are guud .. i like this :-)

  • dude how old are you

  • I have one question. What do you do if you need to change batteries?

  • where did you get the aluminum strip?? and the locknut? At home depot they only have 2'' and 3'' locknuts

  • Holy crap THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS!!!!! im sooo happy that this dont have batteries or wire ^__^

  • can you sell it to me...

  • THE MAN!

  • Dude, awesome tutorial. I'm excited about building one for Halloween, but it wasn't until I'd already bought everything and gotten started that I realized I know nothing about grinding stuff (especially really hard stuff like stainless steel). A coworker suggested I could do it with his plain ol' rotary tool. Is that all I need?

Also, got any ideas how to stick this thing to one's person? Suggestions involving waxing any part of my body will not be considered.

    Thanks for the good work!

  • now i wanna change the battery :D

  • dude you are going to my favorites

  • Stark was able to made this in a cave....WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS!

  • Comment removed

  • Only thing i'd would have done, as a touch up, is to grind the circle in the middle just a little, to erase the numbers and letters on it..

  • gay music

the hose clamp part was stupid and the "soldering points" made it look stupid

  • @shortyjk95 Thank you for sharing :)

Oh and btw the two things you called "stupid" made it more movie accurate and or served as a structural support which I'm sure you know all about.

  • @shortyjk95 Go suck a high hard one at University of Michigan...Oh wait you already did.

  • @SoundsOfFallout what the hell does univercity of michigan have to do with this

  • @shortyjk95 couple of things here 1 what you call stupidtity, I call creativity, those little soldering joints that you say make it look stupid makes it look like it was from the movies dumbass, and you shouldnt care about the music, your here for the video

  • can you put the instructions and the material in spanish? :)

  • @TheIncognits I will try this weekend... I am very busy now with school

  • @s28400 thanks, sorry but I can´t found the material, i need that in spanish :) THANK YOU.

  • one of the better arc reactors i've seen. very good job

  • this is awesome, thank you. but you had 2 step 3's lol

  • you know what, i think i can solder al of those connectors, but great find for those who can't!

  • COOL! Arc Reactor!

  • music name?

  • @manologrhacker Iron Man by Bad Plus

  • @manologrhacker A better song for Iron Man is Iron Man by Black Sabbath, look it up here on youtube and listen to it, its really cool

  • @TheChubbs2001 ok thnx

  • this is cool man! i got a question can i use something else instead of a tabletop ring plug replacement?

  • @juhasen If you like you can cut out some plexaglass in a ring.

  • This is really good. So far it's the easiest I've seen. Thanks kid. I watched some or ur videos also, you got talent. Have a question though, how did u make the ireactor?the one u connect with the speaker?thanks again.

  • @xqst74 Thanks man,

The original iReactor was just build as a I go type of thing. I do have a tutorial of the Mark V iReactor and it is pretty much the same thing exept it is the mark V. If you follow that tutorial as far as wiring is concerned, you should be good. If you have any questions about it just leave a comment or P.M. me.

  • Oh please tell me if you do not know what I am talking about look 1 post down

  • Hey can I use sticky glue instead of normal glue

  • @daveangkl You can use any glue you want as long as it dries clear when sealing the coils.

  • so far 1 of the best way to creat an arc reactor... after all the tuts i have seen... this is exactly wat i was looking for ... tnx mate...and nice job!!!! :D

  • @mriblaze Thank you for the feed back. Glad I could help. If you have any questions just post a comment and if you build one, be sure to post a video response. I'd love to see it.

  • Could I ask what size is the hose clamp?cheers

  • @MegaOriginalboy The hose clamp is a 3 inch.

  • How much was the overall expense? cheers

  • @MegaOriginalboy It was about $30 for all the parts.

  • hey can i use any other aerator or has to be that one exactly?

  • @leo27mjfan You can use what ever you think looks best.

  • is it safely to buy the ring in amozon

  • what size hose clamp

  • s28400 can you email the photos of that reactor in front and at the back so that i can work it properly.. i will send a pm to you that will be my email

  • tnx and i ask this because i want to make even i am just 11 years old turning 12 this year but i don't have the complete materials and i don't know where i can buy becaue i'm from Philippines

  • @asars1234 Well any hardware stores should have all of the parts exept maby the paint and the glue. That you could find at a local crafts store.

    Good luck on your build,

    s28400

  • @s28400 like in Ace Hardware?

  • @s28400 Iike in Ace Hardware but I think I have the glue gun, flat head screwdriver, needle-nose pliers with cutter, Utility Knife or cutter, and fine paintbrush

  • @s28400 @s28400 Iike in Ace Hardware but I think I have the glue gun, flat head screwdriver, needle-nose pliers with cutter, Utility Knife or cutter, and fine paintbrush and also i will use also copperwire for 2 like this i will copper wire and floral wire ahahah

  • @s28400 is there anything to replace the tap light dot it??

  • can use floral wire?, and i forgot the 2 things

  • can i use floral wire? and can u change the battery of the light

  • @asars1234 Yes you can use floral wire. It may not look the same but that will make yours more unique to you. If you mean change the battery as in when it goes bad and you need to change it then yes it is accessible from the bottom. If you mean put a different type of battery in then I guess you could but I wouldn't.

Hope this helps and good luck on your build,

    s28400

  • Where'd you get the Aluminum strip? i can find EVERYTHING else at lowes.. but not the strip >.<

  • @mikesaidhello It is with the angle iron. Should be in hardware in a section called steel works. Just ask someone that works there for sheet metal or angle iron. If for some reson you still can't find it then you could use a PVC cap or sonething. Good luck on your build,

    s28400

  • Hmm, how exactly did you drill out the center of the plastic plug cap? Perhaps maybe you could have added that little bit in the video?

    Thanks

  • @gimmeyowallet I drilled it out with a hole saw. Sorry about it not being in the video.

    Good luck on your build,

    s28400

  • how does the center stay in if you cant glue it because its a push light?

  • @Roth361 It more or less clicks in an stays.

Let me know if you have any more questions and good luck on your build,

    s28400

  • when you bend the ring it will be easier to warm it up before bending.

  • @mirrorbiker1 You could try to warm it up. I didn't but I have worked with metal a lot. I would recommend securing it to something you are going to wrap it around and warming it up in small sections before you bend them. Also if that is giving you trouble, you could look around for some PVC or cat food cans or something along those lines once you have everything else done.

Let me know if you have any more questions and good luck on your build!

    s28400

  • Nice video! I'm planning to make one really soon. But i was wondering how do you make the arc reactor with the switch rather then tap light? and how did you attach like the "speaker" looking thing on the back? (referring to arc reactor prop mark II and ireactor video) That's the version I wanna try to make! :) Thanks!

  • @kwigebob Basically the only thing I changed was instead of having the tap switch attached to the facuet peice I soldered on a reed switch which is a magnetic switch. I then had the magnets on the outside to turn it on and off. As far as the back plate that you saw on the iRector, that was an old speaker and part of a pancake noted from an old DVD player. Just go to a hardware store or radio shack or dig through your parts bin and find something that you think looks good.

    Good luck,

    s28400

  • how do you change the batteries and how long does it hold a charge

  • @BonsaiBoom79 The batteries last about two to three hours before it starts to dim. As far a replacing them is concerned you just unscrew the cover to the tap light.

    Hope this Helps,

    s28400

  • holy crap that is asome can i be your apprentice

  • @rexride101 Umm yeah sure. lol

  • Nice job! Really like the video, I am trying to find the faucet filter. What store did you get it from?

  • @JE2JE2 I got mine at Lowes by the replacement shower knobs and stuff. I will try to get a link in the description by Saterday.

    Good luck on your build,

    s28400

  • i bought the dot-it light but the inner assembly wouldn't come out, how did you take it out

  • @TheKkamble I just took off the metal shell and pushed on the led's and it just slid out. If that doesn't work then try prying it out with a screwdriver.

Let me know if you have any more questions and goodluck on your build.

    s28400

  • And is the aluminum strip 1"x1 - 1/16"x3 feet?

    Otherwise, great tutorial!! :)

  • @s28400 thanks for the info. I'll let ou know how it goes :D

  • Hey, I am planning on building this myself but I am not sure what you mean by A tabletop ring plug replacement. I went down to the department store and asked but nobody could help me. What exactly is the part called..? where can i get it?

  • @TheZombtastic The part itself is called a table umbrella ring plug. I got mine at Lowes but Home-Depo should have them.

Let me know if you have any more questions and good luck on your build!

    s28400

  • @TheZombtastic I will put a link in the description because the comment won't let me post a link.

  • nice vid but the music..not so much

  • Hey no problem. I used your tutorial and made my very own Arc Reactor for my Halloween costume this year - awesome video! I've gotten tons of compliments on mine. Thanks so much for posting the video

  • @cdthedrummer Cool, be sure to post a video on your costume/ reactor!

  • @cdthedrummer

oh man i'm struggling with my halloween costume... i catching up with my exams.. any suggestion for a much much simpler version?

  • @jellynation Grab a Tap Light "Dot It" like from this video and throw some silver paint on it, strap it to your chest and go! Haha the Tap Light was only $7.50 at Home Depot for me. It was a fun project though, so if you have about 2 hours and the proper tools, I'd say try to make one!

  • dude why the hell did you switch it to that crap music

  • @cdthedrummer The original music was blocked by YouTube so it was either this or that earbleeding soundsystem 0009 or whatever it is called. Sorry about that my new videos won't have that.

    s28400

  • that is insane mate!!!! i want 1!!! if only i had the patience to do all that my self :( do me 1? lol

  • @i0want0a0staff Yeah well to be honest with you I will probably never make one again just because it I alot of work but I highly encourage you to try it just give it a shot and use your imagination. Most importantly have fun.

    S28400

  • Amazing! Thanks!

  • I've been looking around lots, the tabletop ring plug and the aluminum strip are the only things I'm unsure of where to get. A point in the right direction and maybe brand would be much welcomed. Best reactor tutorial on youtube all the way.

  • best i ever saw on youtube :D

  • @MultiSkateLover Thanks, I'm working on a Iron Man 2 arc. Should be up by holoween or so.

  • @s28400

    i hope

  • Where did you buy your tabletop ring? I can't find it anywhere

  • not bad :)

  • @Invalid1001 Thanks, I am hoping to get an iron man 2 arc reator tutorial up before holloween so be sure to keep a look out for that!

  • Did you have to play the music?

  • @ChozoSR388 if you don't like it then there is a mute butten. :D

  • Hey, how can the aluminum strip looks like melted toward the end of the video, did you sold it to the conduit locknut?

  • @MCMariachi89 I hot glued it then painted it with silver paint.

  • Hey, how can the aluminum strip looks like melted toward the end of the video, did you sold it to the conduit locknut?

  • Awesome build. How did you take your designer aerator apart?

  • @equildotsin @equildotsin The plastic peices just slid out and then came apart from there I also cut off the threads off the metal part. Hope this helps! If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

  • loving the fishy cup

  • @jiayingzhou lol

  • awesome

  • @aswemo800 Thanks :D

  • Sweet!!! Best arc I've ever seen!!! Can you mail me one of them? I don't have supplies but I'll be iron man for halloween and all I need left is the arc.

  • @myipodtouchguy10 Thanks, I can't mail one two you for two reasons, one It is alot of work for me to put one of these together and two I don't have any time to put more of these together. Sorry

  • Thanks for the video! Halloween is almost here so I get get started!

  • Best ever made

  • Do you know if there would be any way to replace the table top rings with transparent shower curtain rings?

  • @mehfu263 It may be possible to replace it but it might not fit together. You can try it and see.

    Goodl Luck!

    s28400

  • where could i get the table top ring replacement? and aluminum strip? and which departments would they be in?

  • @9Teesix I saw the table top ring replacment around the grills at Lowes. Home-Depo dosn't have them. The aluminum strip is in the "steel works" section in harware. Just ask somone where the angle iron or steel sheets are.

    Good luck on you build!

    s28400

  • Hey do you think you could possibly tell me what the best alternative for the conduit locknut would be?

  • @mehfu263 You might be able to custom order a PVC pipe depending on what your local pluming/hardware stores have. Pretty much anything that will fit around the aluminum. I would look at some PVC fittings.

    Good luck on your build!

    s28400

  • @s28400 thanks

  • Wher did you get the desingner aerator?

  • @hvymtlfrk I got mine at lowes but homedepo should have it. If not check a local pluming store.

  • i have searched the internet far and wide to find exactly what im looking for. i gotta give you props on this build.

  • @pooty900 Thanks, yeah it took me a while to make it so it looked nice but was very easy to make.

  • Comment removed

  • Dude, this is AWESOME!!!!

  • @SirGerman3 Thanks, My goal was to make something that looked good and also that everyone could build for cheap.
