put ur cam onto movie mode by sliding the button to the right to the middle.
Then press "func. set" (button in the middle of the circle) and use the edges of the circle to scroll to time lapse mode.
Make sure the camera is in a steady postion (I had a mini tripod) and it should flash red when it is recording. I takes roughly 1 frame per second i think.
Forgot to mention this about 22 and a half minutes of filming... I'll try an hour and 40 minutes video tommorow (10 minutes compiled). Was just briefly testing this feature today. Brilliant camera.
Lovely time lapse, the ixus 70 was really handy for this. I gave mine to a friend a few years ago, I really miss it.

how long do you have to record to make a time lapse? i got sd 1000 but i dont know how to use time lapse feature.
