Miss Botsawana is comfortable at being candid... She was only 18 when she joined this pageant, though at a very young age she expressed her thoughts very inteligently thus gave her enough aces to win the crown. Miss Philippines on the other hand looked very classy and well poised... almost fragile in a way... very elegant. Can't help but to appreciate Miss Spain aswell... Very pretty and demure. Miss India 1999 se parece muchisimo a Miss India/MU 1994. En los dos desfiles, desfiló identico a como lo hizó MU 1994. El traje de Gala muy parecido también. ¿Pensaria que con eso iba a ganar?. La verdad, hubiese quedado más contento con ella de MU que con Bostwana. Miss PR también se parece harto a Miss PR/MU 1993: Dayanara Torres. Se parecen harto, solo que MU 1993 tenía el cuerpo más embolatado que Miss PR 1999. Y aún asi fue MU. Ese concurso es un FRAUDE. Lo único justo fue MU 1996.

I remember watching this!!! My fave was Philippines for the crown until final Q. It was Philippines 1st, Spain 2nd and Botswana 3rd. Then, Botswana aced the interview. I was so proud and happy for Miriam that night. And was hopeful she won. That answer by Mpule truly deserved the crown. Said it like it is!!!

Mpule may not be the prettiest of the lot but if you guys have met her in real life and spoken to her, you would understand why she deserved and won that CROWN!! She is an amazing woman!
