One thing though the ballast seems to make the trains Jump about abit try wiping some from off the railsides it should help.( Although my Track laying is anything but desirable) I saw the Picture of your layout 100% sceniced up on The Hornby Forum and I cant wait to see it Sceniced! Joe.
Yes, they are the same noises, as while I have a large CD of clips of Great Western steam engines, very few of them are useful for my work. Infact, in this, the 9F is a King, and the 4575 is and auto tank!

BTW there is a strange similarity for the sound effects for the Prarie 5500 and the GWR pannier tank ????
