Thank you so much for posting these! Paul Schaffer is a great bandleader, but I never much cared for his banter. When Warren subbed in for him, it was a revelation. Finally, a true match for Dave's wit--and a guy who could actually sing, to boot! Terribly, terribly, terribly missed.
God, wouldn't I have loved to go for a drive in one of your big ol' American cars with Warren Zevon and David Letterman ( I was once offered an Oldsmobile for 800 Pounds Sterling, but the price of petrol [gas] here in England is ridiculous).
Imagine driving for miles and miles eating real hotdogs and playing warren's songs on the car's radio!

Eastside of the Alantic we miss this show, and Warren was v good for extra entertainment. Love all the posts on Letterman-Zevon. Keep them coming...
