  • I think you're supposed to dilute the worm pee with about ten parts water, or it will burn the plants; that's what I've been reading anyway. Also, I made the no knead jalapeno bread from a few videos ago.... amazing!

  • @phalluman hey thanks, I'll have to check on the plants and see if I notice anything as I just threw it into the garden, lol oops :) I have heard some dilute the tea, but I thought that was so the water will act as a spreader for more coverage area? Not sure if it's the same for the less potent worm leachate or not?

That's so cool that you made the bread!!! I'm so glad you liked it and I hope it was fun to do :) I've been playing around with some garlic & onion bread myself recently.

  • great video of worm city

  • @SteveHarpster hahaha thanks :)

  • I think the mites are normal. It is good to fluff up the worm bin like you were doing. Add some more dry bedding. You have some healthy adults breeders in your bin. Looks good to me.

  • @Allen2045 good to know about the mitesand oh yeah I added a lot more shredded paper and brought it back up to that line just below the air vents. It went down about 4 inches in like 2 weeks! Thanks for checking 'em out!

  • I'm gonna do a shout out video for your channel soon....You deserve more of a following. You have cool & interesting Arizona videos.

  • @ArizonaPublic hey thanks a lot I appreciate it!

  • definitely poo and bedding trailed along the walls of the bin. Same thing in mine. The red looking mite, I've had a couple but not like the numbers you have. That might mean that your bin is too wet.

  • @emsapowell it was a little wet wasn't it. I seemed to have a lot more liquid in the bottom than normal, I'll keep my eye on the feeding schedule a little better and add more papper...you think adding some alfalfa straw would be a good idea? Good to know you think it's bedding, that would not be cool to have the babies dropping off like that.

  • @ArizonaAdventures in a plastic bin you have to be careful of overwetting. Usually the food itself will be enough moisture and you shouldn't need to water the bin. Also shredded newspaper will help absorb the excess moisture. I definitely wouldn't add anymore water until it dries out a little.

  • Dinner!

  • @ArizonaPublic "beef...I'm mean, WORMS, it's what's for dinner!" hahaha

  • Those look like red mites, but it's hard to tell. The stuff on the side of the bin is most likely just bedding and poop. Worms love to explore the bin, especially at night. My bin has that on the walls too. Cute baby worm too...that's a good sign of a healthy bin

  • @kelz132001 hey thanks a lot. I'll do some research on the red mites and see whats going on with them. Good to know things are healthy in there :) thanks for the comment!

  • those bugs look creepy lol I hope you get them ID'd and find out they are not harmful to the worms! Wish I knew, but I'm kinda following along with you and learning as you post your vids

  • @DesertStateAgent yeah I know right, haha the worms looked fine to me, well all but the possible baby worms at the top of the bin. Thats call that your follwoing along, let's hope we get some castings in the near future :)
