There are videos (well mostly a song out of the fanfiction sung by fans) for Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality. But this is the only video made by the writer of a fanfiction about it that I know of. So I guess you might be right, ajnapalm.
This has to be a milestone since I don't know anyone else that made a video for their fanfiction and what you've made is awesome. This has inspired me to reread volume one while listening to this song.

Oh and so I dont have to write another post: I think those scientific scribbles (starting at 1:27) sorta remind me of the Haruhi Suzumiya Intro. Maybe the protagonist will somehow get into her universe too? Or .. maybe its all a fiction that Haruhi is writing or reading? :-)

I think it´s great, but, as others already mentiontioned, it fits a lot more to volume one. Of course, I dont know what will happen in the rest of volume 2 but for example it only focused on Rei and Luna in Sailor Moon because those are the characters the I-narrator interacted most with in the first volume, [SPOILER] In the second volume all the Senshi were involved in fighting alongside with him.
When is the next update to the story? I just discovered it three days ago and finished reading what´s there so far. And it only states the last update was 24.6.2011 so I´d like to know how often updates usually happened (so I know when to expect the next one).
I really really like the fanfic almost as much as Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality, my most favorite reading material so far. :)
@EsmeWeatherwax Do us all a favor: ATC does not like it when people bug him about the release schedule. Suffice to say that he tries to get chapters out on a monthly basis.
@BlackAeronaut Actually I didn't know it updates on a roughly monthly schedule. I only had the dates of the beginnings of Part1 and of Part2 and the last update so that's why I asked.
Love the story, though my favorite of the series included by far (MSLN) is taking awhile for you to get around to again....Still, looking forward to the next chapter.
As for the vid...dunno, seems a little lackluster. The song is good, but doesn't fit my idea of a preview or opening song. Course, I've got like six albums of ultra-dramatic score music on my comp, so I'm used to that kind of thing. As for the scenes, good for introducing the chars, but not the action you'd expect in an opening.
@Xynth25 I kinda agree with you actually, the focus of this video seems more on highlighting all the different anime than on what Volume 2 (Chaos Theory) features: an escalation of conflict into greater action.
I think this might be closer to an End of Volume One vid than to a preview/opening for Volume Two.
Also, Nanoha is my favourite included series as well.
SIMPLY AWESOME! I'm a devoted fan of this fic by now (ha!) it's really one of the best things i've seen and this vid just fits perfectly, actually you inspired me to watch some of the manga that appear in it. I will, as always look forward to the next chapter!

Ha, having an opening video for a fanfic is just awesome. Especially a story like this one. Nice work with finding clips that matched the lyrics too.
My favorite bits from this vid were:
-rapid flashing of the custom artwork (shotgun shells, Mo' Dakka shirt, etc.)
-pretty much the entire Sailor Moon piece with the crystal in the background
-Hild appearing as the song begins to chime "But we're never gonna survive unless..." Only too appropriate there.
-Quattro's turning 'transform' bit
