sehr schön! ich schließe mich den vielen guten kommentaren vorbehaltlos an. könntest Du das nicht mal neu machen mit kamera von oben? irgendwie hat Dein GP mehr töne als meins, ich würde gerne nochmal genauer hinschauen.
Get off of that pedal!!! Make the silences between the notes work for you..........think Count Basie......having griped about the pedal........ NICE WORK!!
Nice! I love this song. I perticipated in a Jazz Program. i played a song called Kool Dudes. But when a dude at my piano studio came up to play i was like i like dat song lol. (it was kinda hard to find it on youtube)
This is really great! I really love your soloing and your style.
But I think if you want to bring your playing to a higher level, you need to be able to use contrast. Not that you didn't use good articulation, etc., you did that great, but I think it needs to sound a little different ever once in a while, be it by harmony, tempo, rhythm, etc. Just a thought.
Very nice. Both the arrangement and the execution.
I really like the sound of your chords, so I studied the first couple of bars of this video. I could reproduce the chords of the right hand - but I have no idea how you can handle those chords with 2 or 3 fingers & play those triplets with the remaining fingers of the right hand - & make it look easy! I guess that's why it's called talent.
Way to go man! I dig this. As a bass player this is one of my favorite songs to play with a combo, so much cool stuff to sink your teeth into. Keep it up man.

feels kinda dull, the rhythm is there, but the feel, the pulse isnt there, feels like a robot everythign same pitch, tone, and volume- i know its a piano but there are ways to tap the keys to get a feel out of it,
The more I play and hear this the more I find different things to do with it on the keyboard - it lends itself to 'rhapsodic' solos just like this young man plays - keep it up!
I kind of agree. We played this song in my jazz band. (I play alto saxophone - lead). Even thought jazz is more legato and swing and such, this particular song was more articulate than most songs ever played in jazz.
Other than that, that was a fantabulous performance, and I highly enjoyed it. I always wished I could play piano...
My wife was sitting in the other room and she said, "Who is that? That sounds really good." First time in my sporadic trips around YouTube she gave this feedback, saying, "I'd like to have music like that playing through the house during the day."
This one is in my all-time Top Five. I'm with J3nnii: You've got it!!! Taking requests? "Tell Me a Bedtime Story" and/or "Nica's Dream" would be nice. Just stick a tip jar on top of that piano and we all will drop in our bills!
Very nice! Gotta love Horace Silver. It's hard to play totally unaccompanied, but you do a good job of it.
Mikayla's middle school jazz band played this song, and Mikayla played her very first spontaneous improvisation during that performance. If you're interested, it's available on her YouTube channel.
Is it just me, or you have memorized your improvs? They seem the same as in the other vid... nevertheless, great sound you have there... gotta love every piece of it ;)
sounds real pleasant nice choice you play very well i myself play keyboard but im into writing my own stuff i play with a techno feel one day ill post something on here but not till i get it right and its perfect itll be a top #1 for alittle i think...good luck keep playing
I tried to post a comment earlier, not sure what happened! But I wanted to let you know that you were a blessing to me because I had to learn this song by ear listening to your music. It gave me JUST what I needed to make it thru the performance in 6 hours. Thanks for sharing your gift with the world! Keep it up! NO MATTER WHAT!
Man you are helping me alot! I'm having to learn this song by memory for a performance of it in less than 6 hours. You not only played it VERY well, but have been a blessing to me. I'll be able to show the high school kid who is supposed to play it, how it actually should feel! U gave me some good chords to add in. With my smooth touch and jazz chord knowledge...its gonna be HOT! THANKS man! Keep posting and stay encouraged! :-)
Good job isn't it? ;) >>> Great smooth jazz and bossa.
The slowest give some intencity i think you don't need to express more that you do ;) I played it with a tempo 145-166 that different but interresting :) with other arragments. Good luck >
Good job...nice relaxed semi- Bossa feel. Works well with the left hand bass line and the voicings and melody on top. Needs more fire if you are intending to play in a trio or quartet, etc. Keep playing those standards and you'll bloom with the originals in time.

I agree steingueldoir, no pedal..this will alow you to feel the solo rhythmically without relying on sustain. Very nice though....nice and smooth...
nothing like a Steinway Grand... :)

Oh wow. That was just wonderful. So many good things about it. Here's a few:
Yes, it was very solid. The tempo was perfect all the way through.
Your dynamics were amazing. You have so much control. It sounded like there was another piano backing you up.
Even if you messed up, no one heard it.
AWESOME improvising. I could never do that. Wow.
All in all,
fantastic.
Never quit.

I can't stop listening to this.
There are lots of versions of this song on the internet.. but i feel this is one of the best.
You've made the piece your own, but you've kept every part of the original.. the tone and emotion behind it. The quiet passion.
Perhaps.. i'm reading into it a bit much.. but this is what i feel from your playing.
Thanks again.
