It's a place in Crash Bandicoot games. It's very hard to complete, and if you do, you get a gem.

Yes it does. It is not like Crash 3, with the blocks, but there is on the level hang 8. You beat the level at quick as you can, and some point in the level you have about 30 seconds to finish the final part of the level.

a skull route or death route is where you go on a platform to a harder part of the level and a diffrent music plays that isn't that pleasant but hee is the catch you gotta make it to the skull path without dying

Here's an explanation: Basically, in some levels in a Crash game, you'll encounter a platform with a skull-and-crossbones. This platform leads you to a difficult challenge that often times leads to a gem, color or silver. There's a catch though, you must NOT die at all while going to it, or else it becomes an unusable sillouette. If you die in the Skull Route, it doesn't count.
