I'm glad that for the German dub starting with the third season they decided to get the Japanese version as a base. Hope they'll continue with this if they ever decide to dub Zexal or the last season of 5D's.

I hate how 4kids COMPLETELY changes the look of the cards! They made it so the picture was at the top and was huge and there was only a little information at the bottom and the names and text were gone! They look nothing like the japanese anime and the real TCG and OCG cards! At least that didn't happen with the Tcg :)

5D's dub was great. So great that I couldn't switch to Japanese sub after I caught up. (The characters were way too over exaggerated for me.) But I think Zexal is the opposite. Replacing the "bring it to em'!" ideal of Yuma's with "I feel the flow!" just doesn't feel right. Kattobing was central to Yuma's character, and why I could stand his stupid hot headed attitude, and made him a somewhat intriguing character, because there was always a philosophy behind his rash actions.

I actually like the dubs of the shows. So far it's been ok, I actually like Astral, he's funny. Astal and Yuma remind me of Atem and Yugi. I wonder how old they are by now, haha! I listened to the Japanese opening theme song of the show. I could't understand what the lyrics were since they were Japanese, but the actual sound of the song was much better; it was fast-paced,up-beat, and just plain awesome.

Overall, 4kids sucks at music.
