The reason the Core Design book is smaller is in fact there just wasn't a lot of design work done prior to making the game. The first chapter addresses that issue. That and the sticky break up between Core and Eidos left bad relations to add to the poor archiving of early Lara stuff. We really have the fans to thanks for having a lot of early stuff. That plus Toby had stuff hidden in his garage.

They have confirmed that a Tomb Raider game is in production, but nothing more. However a spin-off game, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, was announced earlier this month. :)

Wow..., seems heavily weighted in favor of Crystal Dynamics.... Why that? Core Design set the stage, atmosphere & creation... w/o "cute" (and useless) dress options, etc.. (Pls. don't thumbs-down me for honesty.) Seems unfair. Whatever. I have all the games and have played them all through, several times. Not to mention the "Walk-throughs" of each. :) Love them all. Seems nice enough for collectors, and such..... maybe. Good luck!

I've read that there just wasn't as much concept are from Core so I don't think it's really a case of favoritism. Besides, did you see how many outfit sketches were in the Crystal book? :P
