  • Is there a way that i can buy the whole album or something?

  • @SaphireDisc The pieces are available for download on our website :)

  • i just notice i recognize alot of these songs from old cartoons.

  • all of them sound so familiar from movies and child programs!

  • #18: I feel like that got there because of Tom and Jerry

  • "In the Hall of the Mountain King" sounds like Lord of the Rings soundtrack. xD

  • Holy Hand Grenade at 11 :)

  • Isn't it a shame that all of these classical pieces remind me of product advertisements ? That should be forbidden to use such music to market a product.

  • 1:03 - Ooooo YEAHHHHhhh.

  • 20 - kill bill ?

  • Most of your videos are private and pretty much no one can watch them...whats going on?

  • @ROFL7651 Watch the rest of the Kickass Classical Top 100 here: /watch?v=TflCx5sjewA

  • Wondering where the rest of the Kickass Classical Top 100 went? It's in HD right here :) /watch?v=TflCx5sjewA

  • #18 worst song to fuck to..ive tried

  • @strongman17 LMFAO! thats funny

  • @strongman17 hahahahahaha

Did mine while no 20 was playing :P

  • @strongman17 and #13 XD

  • Am I the only one who "dance" the songs? (i mean acting)...

  • 16 (In The Hall Of The Mountain by Greig is my all time fave.

  • has anyone tried having sex with the sabre dance playing?

  • @BaronVonAlfred LMAO

  • "YEAH THE ALTON TOWERS THEME!!"

  • Best music in history. ~Forgotten by many :'\

  • #16 makes me think of some girl being chased by badies... then getting raped :}

  • 20-15 has appeared in so many cartoons with Sabre dance especially Dance of the Hours with the classical comical bit Hello Mudda Hello Fadda

  • I LOVE CLASSICAL MUSIC :X

  • Hall of the mountain king = Tim Burton movies

  • #14 isn't Beethoven's Symphony No. 9? Why "ode to joy"?

  • @quirino666 Our list uses nicknames like "Ode To Joy" Instead of "Symphony No. 9, Fourth Movement, Allegro etc." and "Fur Elise" instead of "Bagatelle No. 25 In A Minor." :)

  • @kickassclassical I see, it's one piece of the whole symphony! This happened many times here in your list, I'm afraid.

  • @quirino666 Don't be afraid, it makes it easier for noobs to find the most familiar pieces. Besides, we're more afraid of things like serial killers, the Zombie Apocalypse, mice... :)

  • @kickassclassical You're funny!

  • i love sabre dance sounds like a magecian pulling things out of him!

  • oh no, not the wedding march

  • @kickassclassical Thanks for the great videos. I do have a question though, it might just be my ignorance but when compared to the other major European nations the UK seems to be completely devoid of composers who can be compared to the likes of Beethoven or Bach. Is that correct?

I mean classical/ Baroque etc composers not current or very recent composers.

  • 15 - Elgar

    Pomp and Circumstance

Is this basically the English National anthem? Sounds very much like it!

    Thanks for the vids :)

  • 15 - Elgar

    Pomp and Circumstance

Is this basically the British National anthem? Sounds very much like it!

    Thanks for the vids :)

  • @TheGreenDragon100 I have to disagree with you. This sounds nothing like God Save the Queen and has a much slower tempo.

  • @SAMelk42 Yeah you're right, i got mixed up, I meant Land of Hope and Glory, sometimes used to represent England, not certain really though.

  • grieg In the Hall of the Mountain King !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thank you soooo much!! i´ve trying to find out how was called that damn song in my head for many hours until i found this video

  • Hello mother, hello father, here i am at, camp granda

  • I am amazed how many songs like these are used in old cartoon..; Tom &Jerry... Minkey Mouse... Gadget, Simsons Flintstones... etc

  • it's good that these seem seem to get at least a little cringe-worthy the further you go back

  • God, I was born in 1989 but I listen to these musics and i think to myself that the music back in the days were so much better and more creative!

  • ren and stimpy

  • Number 16 reminds me of The Social Network..

  • @iLoveTijl Trent Reznor, the composer of The Social Network's score gave his own spin on In the Hall of the Mountain King to invoke that feeling of stress. Both artists are very talented: Reznor and Greig.

  • loooool i heard alot of them in tom & jerry when i was young xD

  • you know how hard it was for me to fins number 16? HARD i love you

  • 11, just what I was thinking when I found this list!

  • the one thing i dont like about #15 is that most of these compositions have interesting, intricate, background melodies while this one is just melody or quarter notes but guess that is why it became mainstream.

  • 24 regaytoneros pasaron por aquí....

  • i'm living my childhood again ! Thank you so much !

  • Who the fuck is going to dislike this for God's sake!!!??>

  • #15

    OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH YEAH!!

  • #18 Heard that in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" during the piano duel between Donald and Daffy Duck. xD

I think the first part of #12 is part of the "Carmen" overture; the second part is the Toreador march. :)

  • @31operafan Both parts of #12 are from "Les Toreadors" from Carmen Suite No. 1 :)

  • @31operafan The most common classical piece associated with Looney Tunes is Rossini, the Barber of Seville overture, give it a listen!

  • @ISullyHDI I've heard it many times, and I love it! :)

  • @31operafan i love that movie

  • can i use classical music in my films? what is the copyright license on older works?

  • @andyhav13 Good question. While most of the compositions on this list have long since passed into the public domain, the performances have not. They are new recordings of new performances and arrangements. When you use Classical Music in a production, you still have to compensate these performers for their work. Hope that helps :)

  • @kickassclassical so if i want to use newer versions I'll need permission? Were can I find public domain performances? Thanks!

  • No17 is so cute*

  • No7 is so cute

  • thx man

  • thx man your the best i found a lot of music that i was looking for rating

    and subscribing

  • it will take me weeks to make my own playlist for my listening pleasure. Kickass has expanded my classical music knowledge tenfold.

  • somebody explain me what majors and symphonies are. I'm new to classical music and also i play the violin. Please help.

  • thank you for the videos!!

  • Rimsky-Korsakov is BEAST!

  • 15 is so extremely British ^.^

And as a Norwegian, I'm pleased to see that Grieg's In the Hall of the Mountain King is ranked so high ;)

  • 14 is European Anthem, great!

  • #20: Ahhh! Bees!!! 8O

    #17: Hello muddah, hello faddah...

#15: Ahh, reminds me of my high school graduation. :')

  • Any swede would probably recognize this first part of #17 with lyrics. Apparently the guy who sang that didn't write the music, who knew? It's fun how you recognize a lot of these but didn't know that they were kind of classical pieces.

  • "Ode to Joy" is a part of "Symphony No. 9" which mentioned before.

  • @BehnamLot @canadian9867 Please observe that our list uses nicknames like "Ode To Joy" Instead of "Symphony No. 9, Fourth Movement, Allegro etc." and "Fur Elise" instead of "Bagatelle No. 25 In A Minor." This is intentional :)

  • @BehnamLot @canadian9867 And like we mentioned in earlier comments...

The two portions of Beethoven's 9th that appear on this list are from two separate movements.

#62 is from the second movement. #14 "Ode To Joy" is from the fourth movement.

Both are used in pop culture for distinctly different purposes, and so they get their own distinct entry :)

  • This is pretty good, especially considering most of these are the "extremely popular" songs that are commonly played in movies.

  • There's a mistake on your list; Ode to joy by Beethoven does not exist. the clip you played is actually Beethoven's 9th symphony 4th movement. The Ode to Joy hymn was created from this melody.

  • @canadian9867 On the contrary, the words sung during the final movement were taken from "Ode to Joy," a poem written by Friedrich Schiller in 1785 and revised in 1803, with additions made by the composer.

  • @kickassclassical not on the contrary; i was just informing the name of the song played in the clip in question. the hymn Ode to Joy is taken from the melody. It is originally from a poem; altered by Beethoven; but i do not see how it is contrary to what i said? more like in addition.

  • @kickassclassical I love the way how you kick everyone's ass so politely that it does not even seems as if you were kicking their asses

  • 15 brings back high school memories

  • wow, it has taken me so long to find no. 16. I'm so happy now!!!

  • Thanks for the great list - helped me find a piece that was stuck in my head and I couldn't remember the name :)

  • Any one know what is the background song title for this video

    /watch?v=ojQUEr0-H08

    Need it badly thanks

  • OH! And #17 was in the K9 Advantix commercial! watch?v=alk26XzDYF4

  • OMG! I realized where I heard #18 from. Who Framed Roger Rabbit?! watch?v=6H9f8qUrF6w <3

  • All of these are famous, thanks to Tom & Jerry! xD

  • 0:50 Thank You so so much!!! I've been searching for this piece for years!

  • No. 17 - Marge, is Lisa at Camp Granada?

  • I love numbers 20, 17, 16, and 13 the most.

  • 0:17 -0:28 Intermission...

  • Almost all the songs in these sets were in old bugs bunny cartoons at one time or another, and damned if I cant still see the segments during which they were used.

  • Thx I ws looking for sabre dance only then the Vanessa Mae version. But found it thx with this clip Thx :)

  • #12 reminds me for F1 ceremonies... :D

  • lol I remember a ton of these from classic cartoons :)

  • # 18 :D my favorite made the list! yeah!

  • Heck yeah, Pomp and Circumstance. I know a lot of people don't like that piece because it reminds them of school, but I don't hold the association, I think the whole piece is just awesome.

  • @Rkmajora I don't associate it with school either... I associate it with the Macho Man Randy Savage. lol

  • 15!!! OH YEAH!!! SENIORS!!!!!!!!!! XD

  • yes! thanks! my roommate and i COULD NOT figure out the name of a few pieces that were in our heads! this is amazing!

  • These videos are nice just to find out the names of these songs that we're so familiar with.

  • oi wats that song that sometimes on the start of a jason durulo song and its like dun dun dun dun dun dunnnn dun dun dunnn dun dun dunnnn

  • Halleluja in slow-motion

  • i swear at least half of your pirces have beeen on Tom and Jerry

  • 0:16 Tom & Jerry lol

  • @newboydan Yeah :3 When Tom was giving a concert :3

  • 18 :DDDD

  • # 15 "Oooh... yeah" #LOL

  • @kickassclassical My point is that it's a shame that it's these pieces. There are hundreds of hidden gems for classical music, the only reason why these are popular is because they were used in some popular movies. They are good. But I'm sure a good portion of the people who watch/listen to this video only get a feeling of nostalgia.

  • omg... they all sound so GOODDD i want them all!!!

  • Fucking awesome!

  • i love #16 :D

  • 12 is the best

  • Liszt (the 'sz' is pronounced as 's') was sopposed to be totally hungarian but he was just such an idiot and changed into italian! UGH!! but cool vid :D

    luv 16 XD

  • Liszt (the 'sz' is pronounced as 's') was sopposed to be totally hungarian but he was just such an idiot and changed into italian! UGH!! but cool vid :D

  • \m/ (>.<) \m/

  • @Hazelrat10 well the reason they are top 100 is because they are well known and listened too. It's like taking the top 100 of the charts these days. These are the 100 most downloaded songs on their website.

  • @Hazelrat10 it makes me sick to my stomach to think of what you actually look like.

  • @nworbrelytthefirst Lol troll.

  • @Hazelrat10 says hipster kitty

  • @LeaderOfTheBobClan Comment was 2 months ago. Stfu, get over it. They ARE mainstream, and it's sad because there's plenty of hidden gems in classical music, but this doesn't expose ANY of them.

  • @Hazelrat10 Why don't you make a video of hidden gems? Might be nice to see :)

  • @kickassclassical I can tell you're mocking me but I'm only defending my point in that you're not actually attracting anyone to this wonderful genre of music as you're only giving them pieces they've heard from Disney movies. If you're going to make fun of me for saying "hidden gems" a bunch of times then realize that you caused trolls and flamers to attack me, I'm defending what I said. And I don't see why my criticism forces me to go post a video of Beethoven's Große Fuge or something.

  • @Hazelrat10 Not at all, we're very sincere in our suggestion. We'd love to hear what you mean.

What we don't agree with is your suggestion that exposing these popular pieces to the masses is doing them a disservice. If they like these they can explore more on their own, just as you have.

As for trolls and flamers, you sort of brought that on yourself :)

  • 1:26 masturbating bear XD

  • THIS is music.

  • @kevinoreos The two portions of Beethoven's 9th that appear on this list are from two separate movements.

#62 is from the second movement. #14 "Ode To Joy" is from the fourth movement.

Both are used in pop culture for distinctly different purposes, and so they get their own distinct entry :)

  • i really need to learn how to read cos first when i saw 17 i thought it said "dance of Horus" and i was like WTF? luckily it wasn't the dance of horus the warmaster of the black legion.

  • Can't attach the video but just look up "Radio" movie trailer and it starts at 1:39. Thanks!

  • @soapsfan13 Look up "Premiere Of The Big Boss" here on YouTube. From the soundtrack of "Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story" by Randy Edelman ;)
