Thank you ever so much for posting this. I had only seen highly edited versions of this confrontation and though it didn't look like much, the right wing dingbats point to this as proof of some vast conspiracy of climatologists. This shows the nastiness of McAleer and the dishonesty of the denier camp even more and I enjoyed seeing Dr. Schneider handing this wingnut his ass.

The climate model data was wrong no matter what way the climategate issue turns out, It predicts a warming of the earth which clearly isn't the case.There simply isn't enough energy coming from the sun to earth to create a run away green house effect. Our earth orbits in whats known as "The Goldilocks zone" not to hot & not to cold (simple), Venus has a run away green house effect, Mars has the opposite It's cold and lacks atmosphere, we sit between the two opposing planetary weather systems.

No 'runaway' warming event was associated with this CO2 level, which persisted for centuries. AGW advocates can't explain how CO2 levels ever returned to lower levels. The strongly positive feedback they pretend exists between CO2 and water vapor would prevent CO2 levels ever returning, unless an even stronger negative feedback actually dominates.

The leaked emails AND computer programmes showed that the leading players were in touch with each other. It seems to be about only 42 scientists who are pushing the AGW line. Read some eminent scientists such as Freeman Dyson and the other 31,071 who are are concerned by the alarmism.

I decided to watch this "full" version, because supposedly it was to convince the viewer that the reporter was out of line, the scientist was perfect, and the reporter therefore deserved to be arrested. It proved no such thing.

Clearly, the Dr. has no clear answers to the fraud allegations. And the skeptic reporter seems to be the only one there (as evidenced by the applause from the small crowd as the Nazis escort him out).

The emails were cherry picked to do the most damage - fair enough, it is what I would have done. UEA have acknowledged that they are genuine. Dr. Schneider states that he will not comment unless he can view their content in context.

The "full story", i.e., the thousands of emails, is not known to everybody.

The emails are a minor detail, it is the homogenisation (obfuscation?) of the data that is important.

Ocean - you are missing the point. Clearly McAleer was the only one at the event to question Man Made Global Warming. This is a serious issue that must be debated and it is not.

Global Warming theorists are not following the scientific process. They are trying to make the data fit their preconceived ideas behind closed doors.

Climategate should be the scandal of the century, yet it is being buried. The repercussions of this will be felt for decades in the scientific community.

The Climategate group was just one of thousands of institutions who contribute data towards our global climate knowledge. Schneider presents on some of this in his full presentation, which we'll post shortly. We agree that McAleer should be able to pose questions, and he did. And then he prevented others from doings so....

Oceansolutions does not advocate any particular policy. We filmed Dr. Schneider's event because it addressed our interest in the SCIENCE of climate change and the ocean. McAleer is asserting that Dr. Schneider shut him down and called in UN security. In reality, McAleer was given extensive time and a full response. Following his question, McAleer refused to pass on the microphone to other reporters despite knowing that each reporter was alloted one question each.
