Germany was elite because they formed a foreign group known as the Waffen SS which were intensively trained unlike the Russians and Americans they were stormtroopers they weren't meant for combat in Urban areas since most of their battles were in open areas which barely had cover perfect for Blitzkrieg's and Panzer divisions, cold weather did give America the advantage because German weapons weren't meant for it
