I have a plastic back iPhone 3GS (yea.. like everyone else), and due to constant abuse, the back cracked in 2 places.. Metal back would definatelly make the phone more resistant to drops and mild abuse.

My Ipod 1g (don't ask ;P) Has a metal backing, and I think it looks a lot better than the white plastic backings on the Iphone (the black ones are alright) although it does have scartches and finger prints all over it.... I'd say black platic is best.

Palm Pre? Its not even released in europe, how can it be that good when its just about 1000 apps for it?

I believe that the OS ran in N900 was EasyDebian. Its basicly a port of Debian and allows running normal Debian apps and no modifications to the .deb file. (Maemo is built upon Debian.)

iPhone 3Gs - Cause I personally feel like iPhone OS and the phone itself is awesome.. fast.. and versatile.

Nexus One - Cause the hardware is amazing on this thing. And I've never tried Android OS before, so I'd love to.

Palm Pre Plus - Best form factor IMO out of the 3. Faster compared to the Pre. Quite a limited OS, and I'm very curious cause I've not tried it before either.

So.. tough call.. :)

I see, yeah I haven't tried the Palm Pre Plus, but I have owned both the Nexus One and iPhone 3GS. I returned the Nexus One, luckily I didn't have a contract with T-Mobile. The only bad thing I didn't like with the Nexus One was it's lack of quality apps, compared to the iPhone. Other than that, the phone itself is excellent. For now, I love my iPhone, i'm getting a new one from Apple Support due to a dead pixel, so even better.
