They look angry! European Hornets.... I hate them but I'm totally fascinated with them! If you had stayed out of the car then they would have protected their nest and covered you with stings which could be fatal :(

those are european hornets, look at their size, you can definitly tell

Looks like the common wasp (yellowjackets), not hornets. Not sure though.

Yes they are, although here in the states or where im at in South Louisiana we dont really get thoes kind, just smaller, single comb nest ones. But other folks that live north get them too. Yall were lucky not to be outside of the car for long! I guess the noise of the car and warmth and exhaust fumes is what set them of swarming like that!

My alot of them arent there!?? Thoes look like European Hornets, and they are viscous!

Hi Landaux! I saw a few of them ware yours. They ware bigger than the rest and look like American Hornets then must be yours :)
