in the worldwar II the People of Freiburg made a ring with torches around that church --> that the Bombers don´t destroy it, tnx 4 that !

Die hosanna passt eigentlich wohl im geläut g° b ° c'd' (es'!) f' g' a' b'...d''' müssen heißen

Deshalb wurde sie inzwischen durch Umhängung integriert.

Aber "damals" hatte sie noch nicht mitgeläutet. Das wäre auch fatal gewesen, denn dann hätten sich die es' und b° gegenseitig zerstört :-)

Die Glocke, die g° läutet, heíßt Hosanna, oder?

Nein, die g° ist die Christusglocke. Die Hosanna (es') hat hier nicht mitgeläutet, weil es die damalige Aufhängung direkt neben der b° nicht erlaubt hat.

Deshalb war ich an Pfingsten da, um sicherzustellen, dass alle Glocken läuten.

Zur normalen Vorabendmesse Samstags gibt es nur das extrem dürftige Motiv f'-a'-c''-d''.

How are these bells rung? It sounds like a total disorganised mess! I'm a bellringer in the UK and we have "methods" - i.e. a specific order, the most basic being a "round."

Yes but you have Change-Ringing-bells, we have swinging bells! For me, that sounds great!

Besteht eigentlich grundsätzlich die Möglichkeit einmal dem Geläut des Plenums in der Glockenstube des Münsters beizuwohnen? Habe erst kürzlich im Kölner Dom am feierlichen Einläuten des Peter-und Paulsfests teilgenommen und bin nach wie vor restlos beeindruckt.

Is it not so that the complete hardwood Glockenstuhl for the 16 bells was recently changed/renovated? Or, is in the process of being so?

Effectivement clochebell, le beffroi a été totalement modifié pour porter pas moins de 18 cloches et permettre à Hosanna d'accompagner ses soeurs.

Je suis monté il y a quelques jours et à présent, la chambre des cloches est remplie jusqu'au plafond !

Raydenmizzi had a video of Set 1 of bells (a version of what you have in this video) but he also had a video of Set 2; now his Set 2 video is just a recording of the large bell of Set 2, "Hosanna".

There's no "set 2" of bells in the tower. 15 bells (Schilling) and the Hosanna (es').

This is only the Set 1 of bells of Freiburg Cathedral. There is a Set 2 of four bells (the largest of which is named "Hosanna"), for a grand total of 19 bells - one of the largest in Germany!

In the main tower there are only 16 bells.
