Thank you for uploading this beautiful song. I have listened to it several times and managed to write down the notes and chords so I can start learning to play it myself. Is it correct that the piece is in the key of G and has a 6/8 time?

You are correct that it's in the key of G but is in 3/4 (not a big difference!) This is actually only part of the song... there is a little bit more (there are actually I think 6 versions in the sheet music)  The one I'm playing is a conglomeration of a couple of the versions in the music.
