Normally I would agree how its about the music though when it comes to Visua kei JRock bands like Miyavi....the show is just soo fkn amazing you can't help but enjoy the theater antics along with the music. I've seen a LOT of bands live and I'd have to say Miyavi is probably the best live performer EVER!!!

distortion is a way for alot of rock musicians to play extremely simple stuff while pretending like they'r rockin' and sound awesome at the same time

and he does use distortion when needed and he knows exactly when to use it unlike some other rock musicians

A distortion doesn't really need particularly simple 'stuff' as you put, it to use it. I think you're referring to the way musicians fail to keep the music flowing with the distortion rather than Miyavi being one of the only ones who can use it correctly. It's never used incorrectly, just used at unneccesary intervals/parts of the song.
