  • hey man did you lose power with this mod? I did it to mine and I feell ike I've lost 30whp or so XD I tried playing with the tune but no luck :S

  • omg gay

  • This is not a ricer...... Go to urbandicionary

  • this is not a ricer this is beautifull

  • but the bumper did kill it

  • sounds sick nice ride

  • Comment removed

  • @Blogdude87 It's not my taste either. But not liking something doesnt make it rice. You start calling everything rice and actual ricers get off too easy for their crimes against the automotive community.

  • @Blogdude87 I am a car guys. Check my other vids for my car. i help-ed this guy install the exhaust is all. After-market doesnt equal rice, Saleen and Roush are aftermarket.

  • @Blogdude87 where?

  • Comment removed

  • @Blogdude87 so cus he got a body kit his car is a ricer....when that body kit resembles the late 60s bumper...with the exhaust pips going through the bumper

  • Comment removed

  • @Blogdude87 youre fucking kidding me right....you use urban dictionary to get deifinitions for shit like this. wheres his big exhaust, wheres the big ass spoiler... Most of these riced cars (a.k.a. rice rockets or rice burners) are imports; Honda Civics, Accords, Integras, CRXs, RSXs, Del Sols Mitsubishi Eclipses, Lancers, Subaru Imprezas, however there are some domestics such as Chevrolet Caviliers, Dodge Neons, Ford Focus; small, slow, economy cars designed specifically to go slow.dumbass

  • @Blogdude87 God damn you are stupid. Every single one of your posts makes me sick to my stomach.

  • Is she yours ?

  • Im thinking about roush side exhaust for my 2000 GT havnt decided between that or the flowmaster american thunder exhaust

  • I tried many different exhaust options on a Mustang I had a few years ago . Fortunately I had the opportunity to get it dynod from the place that was tuning it UPR perf . Certain combos especially no cats no mufflers straight pipes etc are good and bad .sometimes you gain horsepower or lose torque due to loss of backpressure . The guys there said it depends on engine setup and said that often , just a set of aftermarket mufflers can do the trick .A Xpipe isnt always better than a H. good luck .

  • On the kid with the v6 I installed a true dual on a 05 v6 too and it's not going to sound deep and throaty cause of the nature of the v6 at idle it's similar to my 02 gt but after take off they are two different motors that sound way different.v6 still sounds good tho.:)

  • hi...

ok i have a 2005 v6 ford mustang.. recently about 4 months ago i installed a pro street dual exhaust kit (it was a single exhaust at first), so its an x pipe under it..sounds good at takeoff but i would like it to make a louder throatier noise, like when its in idle like when im at a red light what can i do to achieve this sound?? lose the mufflers??can i install new exhausts to the kit?? install flowmasters??? any tip would help out

    thank you

  • @oscarb1087 buy a v-8 I dont get it people buy a v-6 put duals put cobra emblems put gt emblems .whats the fucking point Its a 6 bottom line , no exhaust or any miracle product is going to make it sound like a 8 . save the money and buy a used V-8 . I did , I bought a 04 with 50,000 miles for 4,800 . And stop trying to race against V-8 owners , its funny enough when Civic drivers do it .

  • @wolverinemma

umm the v6 i have will leave u in the dust so it will be pretty embarrasing

    for u a v8 owner to lose againts a v6 owner..

u can take that to the bank

  • @oscarb1087 Wow, dude. You must be some type of bad ass, is your V6 mustang a race car?

  • @MustangAficionado

not exactly its just tuned up very well..i take it to car shows in my state and stuff

and do drag racing as well in pennsylvania

  • @oscarb1087 without a power adder -, NOS or supercharger with a huge pulley, you can do all the"tuning" you want , your car will never be in the 13 second or even a low 14 quarter mile so go race some Civics because you cant beat a V-8 . I have seen v-6s with a pro-charger supercharger tuned , intake ported ad gears still runnung in the 14s . you just dont have the horsepower . So go try to impress your friends with your BS not a guy whos been driving for over 20 years and had 7 Mustangs

  • @wolverinemma

well with experience as urself u should always know what really is under the hood

i never said i had the 05 engine under it.. :) but thats our little secret

  • Comment removed

  • @oscarb1087 LOL a v6? Oh boy.

  • @wolverinemma If you bought an 04 gt with 50,000 miles for 4,800 there must have been something wrong with it.

  • @brazerbrake I live in south Florida so down here theres alot of colleges and it is infested with Mustangs . The Moroso race track is less than a half hr away so racing is huge here. I got it for 4800 but the guy originally wanted 5500 on it . I patiently watched the price drop for over a month which isnt uncommon because like I said there is Mustangs everywhere . He asked 5200 and I gave him 4800 . I have about 62000 mi on it and the only problem ive had is the a/c blowing less at idol .

  • @wolverinemma damn dude your lucky thats next to nothing. Shits pretty expensive here in jersey i just got an 04 gt with 20,000 miles for 13,000. Didn't get any great deal on it but its tough to find bone stock stangs with low miles around here so i ate it up. should have taken a trip down to florida haha

  • i have the same set up mac off road h pipe n mufflers i fuckin love it. super loud

  • Sounds crazy!

  • i have a similar setup. only mine goes to a custom side pipe with NO mufflers.... mac off road H with no mufflers... Is it raspy for you? mine sounds super raspy. I was woundering if it could be the small adapter peice that goes i the pipe on the driver side? mabe it's not set right. would that throw off the tone?

  • body kit has to come off, american rice at its best right there.

  • beautiful car,mean sound,just wonderful

  • I thought I was looking at the front of the car at first cause the bumper haha.

  • savage mate!!!!! straight through pipes for the win

  • go with cherry bomb extreme, you wont be sorry, that's what I got, sounds like old school muscle, you'll lovem.

  • Rednecks

  • stright pipe is cool but it also makes u loose the backpressure and that makes u loose the high end power

  • @MR2Racer89 its low end torque, you lose back pressure, but you gain high end hp less resistence. just fyi i man..

  • ok thought that was for import cars but i think it runs better when u got the low end power than the high end plus its a mustang isnt it all about power than just a high revin? lol

  • @MR2Racer89 "hp selld cars but tq wins races" carol shellby :)

what do ya drive?? im guessin a mr2 but.

  • had mr2 but sold it i now have 96 mustang gt 5 spd 4.6 v8 with H pipe without cat with magnaflow exhaust and K&N air filter nothing done to it yet just got it end of nov of 2009 and been parked till winter's over.. drivin a beated up junk 4x4 jeep for winter lol im workin on gettin some upgrade mods for the stang just lookin around findin whats the best for it ya know since 96 to 98 is 212 hp stock and the 99 and up are 260 hp im thinkin of swapin it for newer motor for its 260 hp dunno yet tho

  • @MR2Racer89 uhhh. i dont think that is correct. loss of backpressure that i know of takes away torque and gives a little more horsepower. im pretty sure it's that way.

  • not sure but i think its the best to keep the back pressure so it doesnt fry the valves i really wouldnt had worried bot the exhaust system as long it got its header then it will make a diff but leavin factory headers and cuttin up pipes makin it stright or without exhaust is just not needed bec it acually really doesnt make any diff just noise but if changed the headers for high performance then yea it will make diff its just not needed with stock headers its just what i think ya know

  • it is illegal in maryland I think....check your local laws before you do this mod though..

  • is straght pipe louder than flowmaster, also is there anything called straight pipe with flowmaster?

  • no, straight pipes mean there is nothing to the exhaust system but pipes...no catts and no mufflers..btw its very very loud in person..i have straight pipes on my 98 gt

  • yea but the question is why would someone have straight pipes? if its louder than a flowmaster maybe, cause everyone loves the louder sound? but thats why i was asking which is louder?

  • Yeah, but exhaust through the bumper is a cool idea.

  • I personally dont like the bumper, too ricey

  • I agree. And thanks for actually saying your opinion instead of the typical "omg, gay"

  • i agree with you as well. definitely not feeling the rear bumper.

  • @SteveO199150 Agreed. The exhaust needs to be tucked up too. I imagine it was after video but just saying..

  • Good rev sound. I could do without the idle sound. It sounds like my uncles boat lol

  • btw: + illegal or not, if it sounds good and preforms better who give a shit? you've struck out twice.

  • dude that sound like garbage! what a shame being its a nice car! haha

  • I think it sounds dope. nice work.

  • that sounds like complete shit. honestly im not trying to be mean but dude a mustang isnt supposed to sound like truck... if you really want to do your sound system right then get a borla stinger catback system

  • Not my car, I sorta agree. Especially about stingers, i love straight throughs. Sounds awesome with X's.

  • Cut out's are illegal to have installed or use

  • @MustangAficionado yeah but its worth the sound :)

  • Is it possible to have straight pipes and keep the mufflers, but have some sort of muffler bypass switch so it's still legal?

  • Yes, it's call a remote cut-out. Or just cut-out. You keep the stock pipes and have a dump before the mufflers, usually before the cats as well. Usually not done on dual exhausts/V8's

  • yeh but im pretty sure those electric switches are about 100 a piece, so if you have dual exhaust your looking at a pretty pricey thing

  • mine were $360 for a pair and that came with 2 y pipes. I have about $600 in my exhaust right now

  • Bypasses are illegal.

  • So are straight pipes

  • how do ya figure?

  • Any altering of the placement/type/or deleting of the catalytic converter is illegal. Running an exhaust with no mufflers is illegal. Basically fun stuff = illegal

  • So the best thing to do is to gut the bastards and put them back on, just for appearances. I live in a state that doesn't do vehicle inspections or emissions testing, but they'll still check under your car if a cop pulls you over when you're driving a hotrod or a ricer.

  • nice car man but get rid of that body kit their for ricers not mustngs

  • Not my car.

  • he likes it, i dont think he cares what you think about his car...

  • 1. There are no mufflers, that's WHY it sounds blatty. 2. It's not my car. 3. No ones cares about a V6 mustang.

  • he just schooled your ass flounder. you should get some ointment for that burn.

  • ayyye you ppl r retarted.... put either 2 mufflers on, or 2 high flow cats. you need some back pressure, ur gunna burn out ur valves

  • Don't listen to these guys that say no mufflers are bad..just a bunch of other mustang guys that like to generalize things that they think are "bad" or what you shouldn't do. Glad to see somebody else who's not doin what everyone else is doing.

  • Stright pipes are bad. You atleast need a H or X to balance the pressure in each side.

  • they do have an h pipe on it look closely and they have it in the details

  • doesnt look or sound like there is an h pipe on it

  • It does say in his description that he has an h pipe..

  • It sounds too much like a truck IMO. Mufflers are there to cancel out certain tones and let a deep throaty sound come out. With straight pipes all the sound gets out and there is no nice tone. Just open raw noise. And no thats not good. Its cheap and probably hurts performance.

  • I agree. And nice heads in your sig pic, ported PI's?

  • i wanna hear it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Sounds sick as hell. a offroad x pipe might make it sound even better, but sounds great none than less

  • lol so many haters who come see a video of STRAIGHT PIPE MUSTANG....to say that straight pipe suck.....gj nolife loosers.

  • lol, i know ahy

  • wow, you really made that car sound like crap. good jod.

  • Straight pipes means we didn't "make" it sound like anything. Thats how the V8 sounds - mufflers alter it.

  • I happen to like that sound. Too many mustangs have that wimpy x-pipe sound. You see that everywhere. Nice car MustangAficionado.

  • It's not my car. My car has a wimpy x-pipe, look at my other videos to see.

  • haha, that sucks.

  • Lol, doesn't suck for me. But what ever floats your boat.

  • nice mustang - get more vids of it.

  • I guess you didn't understand.

  • No, i dont think you do...

  • is that legal?

  • No, in many ways no.

  • 1, it's not my car. 2 this guy was running nearly every bolt on and a 100 shot, wasn't exactly a honda. Looks are specific to taste, not my taste but at least it's a ford. Show some fellowship, man!

  • boosted?

  • Nope, N/A with the the 100 shot.

  • Good bye to his valves.

  • Do people still buy into increased back-pressure making valve-float? It's sorta sad. You know most engine builders tune the engine on a stand in a engine dyno room, right? Dumped from the headers.

  • how did u past a smog

  • Not my car, you would need to swap over to the stock h pipe for smog,.

  • Put some shoes on with the car up on jackstands. you never know!!!

  • Because the shoes will save your feet? lol

  • you'd be surprised.. lol

  • hahaha nice! maybe sandals would work haha...

  • sounds like suffering fuck put some mufflers on it

  • Uhh.. What did you say bro...?

  • Hey I even said I was wrong on this, I did not mean to comment this person! I freakin love the sound this car makes! I was a fuckin stupid retart for saying that!

  • You all r some haters thats a badass car and the kid with the ferrari can suck some american muscle.

nice car dude i got an 03 with the same setup.

  • sounds like crap i have heard v6 mustangs sound better but i do like the bumber

  • V6's sound like they are trying too hard to actually be burly. And that bumper is ugly, lol.

  • dude, fuck these clowns. It sounds mean as fuck and looks good too. just ignore these haters.

remember "jealousy is a stinky cologne" :D

  • Never mind, I was replying to someone esle! I actually like mustangs I was just being an ass to someone, but its the wrong person, Sorry dude!

  • My dads Ferrari sounds way better than, this! I hope you are embarrassed, a mustang, what a gay car

  • ok u little trust fund baby most of us cant afford a fukin ferrari and who would want to drive a car that costs more that ur house??

  • Don't worry man. Anyone who says "my dad's" anything to anyone is pathetic.

  • lol its sad but true

  • I would put 10 000 000$ that your father doesn't have a ferrari. If he does, come suck my d***

  • I forgot: sebrings rocks lol

  • Sounds like shit

  • this is the shit wish i had one man

  • fuckin beast man

  • gota love the blistered paint from the heat tho it does sound good

  • is having an O/R H pipe with an axel back setup bad for your car/engine in any way? cause i've heard that it can cause some problems.

  • It relates to increased back-pressure down low in the rpm's and off throttle, but it wont lead to valve floating if that's what your asking. Just less restriction up top in the rpm's and a head ache from all the noise

  • hey man thanks for clearing that up for me, cause one guy told me that with a straight pipe setup you can damage/destroy your valves or something like that

  • There are many rumors that if you have gobs of backpressure you can cause exhaust and air to travel back up the pipes to the exhaust port (when off throttle) causing some sort of pressure that interrupts the exhaust valve cycle. Not only has this never happened on these cars even with open headers, you'd have to have some pretty faulty cam followers or valve springs for that to happen. My guess is it's more prone on pushrod engines when pushrod "flex" happens or a faulty rocker arm design.

  • a world without mufflers would be awesome. i love the throaty growl of V8s u get without them. just wish it was legal. cars would sound like they used to back in the muscle car days. or at least the v8s would.

  • drove an 04 GT like that 03 today just wasnt near as loud...but man im in love =p

  • its not illegal to run no mufflers. Only thing you might get into trouble for would be runnin no cats, but if u live in a county that has no emissions laws it wont matter

  • Decibel level restrictions in Cali make having no mufflers basically not an option.

  • whats the decible limit in cali? if its 0ver 100 decibles my dads cutlass is illegal in cali lol

  • i think 87 or 90

  • Nice sound. What body kit is that? I'd like to see more of it.

  • HAHAHAHAHA holy shit this is MY OLD car, yeh it was sooo loud I was pulled over that night..LOL, i have a new 06 now and thanks for finding this vid, me and my boy chris did the install in about an hour in the garage... SOUNDED SIC on the freeway.. even scared the shit out of me when I opened her up to 120 !!! THanks again for posting this ! Brings back goooooddddd memories

  • Ha, Justin. This IS me (Chris). Remember how we (I) switched the MIL eliminators to be before the cats? God that was a newbie move.

  • is it illegal to have no mufflers

  • Thanks captain obvious. Think it might be illegal to run an "off-road" mid pipe too?

  • lol

  • dam, sweeeeeet man!

  • he used his hand since it's on jack stands. Jesus christ

  • i think he's fucked up man

  • man i think djc34 gotta be fubar'd

  • Dude, that sound's so DAMN good. Lol, great looking car.

  • great sound.. i have offroad x pipe and cutouts on mine

  • YEAH!!!

  • sounds sick, just like mine did when i had straight pipes. You lose torque and some hp though thats why i put on some super 44's and it sounds nice and better throttle response.

  • Yeah that's what I heard too that you lose some torque, but not that significant though. I got straight pipes on my 88 stang as well. I'm getting me super 44s by next summer, but I wanted to enjoy the sound of straight pipes. Gotta tell ya, it's sweet. Between 3-4000 rpm I get nice backfires. It sounds sweet like bombs exploding. Scares the shit outta grannies.

  • hahaha grannies.... very nice touch

  • beaST!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thats SICK!!!!!!!!
