  • lol looks like an SU-8

  • americans dont deserve it to wear these uniforms!

my grandpa deserved it and i think he turns around in his grave in

russia when he sees those videos

  • @TheRedSkin2009 Actually, they are all British re-enactors, no yanks anywhere!! ;-) It was a small public display, in Sheffield, UK, so not accurate in terms of movement and it was small open arena, we do try to follow the Heer tactics, etc when possible though.

  • @TheRedSkin2009 Yeah because for the people like us that actually care about history and try to have fun at the same time well shit...we are just terrible people.

  • @TheRedSkin2009 That is so true.

  • @TheRedSkin2009

did he serve in a waffen-ss unit or heer, luftwaffe?

my grandfather also served on the eastern front, with the waffen-ss

I agree, these uniforms should never be worn by trailertrash. no one deserves to wear them.

    remember the fallen comrades!

  • @Ialocin1985

my family lost about 20 young men in the war.. most of them were in the waffen-ss.. and yes he also was in the waffen-ss... yes they dont deserve it... bist du deutscher?

  • @TheRedSkin2009 Why dont Americans deserve to wear the uniforms...?

  • @AdamSavage88

    because they are americans..

thos germans who weared this uniform defended germany with their lives

they fought bravely and they were the best soldiers.. only the german soldiers of ww2 deserve to wear them

  • With tanks like the Panzer IV and V, as well as the Tigers being so costly and time consuming to produce. Anti Tank guns like the Marder were an obvious choice. It was very effective in open fields and was cruical to Rommel in North African deserts . Marders (cruically which don't have a rotating turret) would be both cost effective and battle effective as an anti tank gun....

Until you see saving private ryan where the marder crew gets mauled by a molotov.

  • exactly, nice film but where is the explosion..

  • This is repro based on the Swedish Stridvagen. Alan Swatman, the owner, has admitted so.

However, very nice it is too.

  • to CP15100: Well yes the Allies would be in serious trouble if enough JagdPanthers were built and deployed in the Normandy Area, espcially in the Bocage.

  • Cottonboy88 -- yes it is.

  • Nice, but I prefer a JagdPanther, which is extremely better.

  • Everyone does, but only two are operational in the world today.

  • Marder III H and JagdPanther arent same class... but i prefer JagdPanther too

  • I'd like the jagdtiger!lol that thick armor and hugh 128mm high veliocity howitzer. It can reach out and touch somebody!lol

  • umm what ae u retarted?? it has way more firepower, but it is usless it breaks down every fucking 30 seconds so i prefer something that works with less fire power

  • Always the problem with those damn things ;D

Put to much armor and gun on the tank it doesn't work.

  • but expensive

  • nice conversion , good to see it get used rather than stuck in a museum, deffo looks the part, what are the errors / ommisions ? its hard to spot at that distance.

  • Stridsvagen M/41.. good conversion tho !

  • This is a fake, built on the chassis of a Swedish Stridsvagen m/41.

There are numerous omissions/errors when compared to a genuine Ausf H.

  • Which begs the question... Do we consider the actual Marder III to be a fake since it was built on the chassis of the Pz 38?

  • I can assure you this is no fake and is most certainly not built on the chassis of the Stridsvagen. It is one of only two left in the world and the only one of the pair that runs. I have the privilege to see the Marder very close up and can tell you that there are no omissions/errors. I spent Sunday(27-09-09) removing dried mud and oiling the tracks. This is no conversion believe me. A lot of love and care has gone into bringing it to the condition it is today.

  • Damn I screwed up, please accept my apology...I meant to give you Thumbs Up for your Comment, but I accidently gave you a Thumbs Down.

  • "Panzer Vor"

  • You sure that's a 3?

  • This is'nt a Marder III -_-

  • Comment removed

  • Marder III one of the best german Tank hunter!!!

  • very nice 5 *****

  • Der gute alte Panzerjäger....

  • awesome!!!

  • omg that looks awesome

  • you are gay

  • i hate these things in company of heroes XD

  • dude i disagree. they are pretty affective in the cities. when deployed right. but in open area ya they pretty much suck LOL.

  • u so dumb. it has a haz gun traversing radius of +/- 18 degrees. the armour is at most .18mm over driver. it would be the worst to take into a tight city such as bastogne or such. any tank i over emphazise the word tank here, would neeed more than ataqute infantry support to be effective. and even then if i was a commander i would rather my tank sit on the outskirts of town to shell into it, the mardeers true ability to do long range shelling

  • dude tanks are not meant for cities as large targets= dead withing minutes or easy flank so i agree with ya

  • @duhimblake

they talkin about the game not reality but i think your right

  • no i meant that i hate having to fight them, i never really play germany in company of heroes, so i verse these alot and it pisses me off lol

  • the one in company of heroes is the merder III ausf M not ausf H

  • Thats so unlogic???!?!?!? The Marder 3 makes not "Puff" when he shoot? It makes BABOOOOOM

  • dude its cause its a lighter version of the blank so ya dont burn the fuck out of the trees n stuff

  • during ww2 they used live rounds in the 21st century in a public park apparently its illegal to fire live rounds into the crowd !

  • that is just bad ass

  • That's what I thought. Still pretty realistic.

  • Anybody know if they are using a full-charge shell in this re-creation? The muzzle blast doesn't seem very great for a 75mm or a 76mm.

  • Nope, its a blank shoot...

  • Where can I buy a car like that!? (armored car)

  • What was going on there? Was that a reanactment? Looked fun!

  • Realisticly, you woundnt take a marder into a street fight, 1.because its fixed turret make manouvreabilty difficult in the heat of battle and 2. u just woundt :D aswell as infantry around it

  • well saving private ryan showed the germans usins "allied" tactics. the germans would never employ any anti-tank or tank in urban battles! or have the panzergrenadier closely behind armour!

  • How do you know that, were you hanging out with Rommel back in Normandy discussing tank tactics?

Oh wait, you don't know shit.

  • saving private ryan remeber this?

MARDER III Howitzer in close quarters+ 5 Germans+Open Turret+Molotov Cocktails= Germans on fire screaming in agony...

not the best place to be when a Molotov should find it's way into the cabin...

  • Marder III is a tank destroyer, not a howitzer.

  • Yes is AT gun with fast movement... but i prefer panthers... hetzers..and jagdpanther..

  • omg this film is sooooo unrealistic :D one american kills 100 germans...and the tiger isnt original, the cassis is that of the russian t34

  • lol a russian sniper confirmed 400 kills and where do you think you can get an original tiger tank with all working parts

  • I like how right after the Marder fires, a soldaten fires his k98... theres just no comparison lol

  • amazing work looks like real

  • I PLAYED WAR GAMING FOR A FEW YEARS AND THIS TANK WAS A NASTY PIECE OF ARMOUR AGAINST ALLIED TANKS. low points and small silouette with a good gun.

  • nope this is not venerable its an auxiliary tank destoroyer used after 1943 and it has an open turret to acomodate a larger gun.

  • Haha, cool tank anyway. :)

  • yes ... james ryan is very unrealistic...germans seems to be retarded in this movie :(

  • if you can remember in "Saving Private Ryans" the germans used them as assault tank group trying to take a city. That's a bit strange and very deadly how u could see in that movie.

  • Those were Marder III M's-very similar but with the fighting compartment at the very rear of the vehicle as opposed to the middle.

  • very vulnerable because of the open turret

  • Well it didn't have a lot of armour as well...whole purpose was to wait in ambush, shoot and hopefully destroy whatever was coming at it, then retreat to another ambush position.

  • so i take it they where recreiating a battle

  • what kind of gun does it carry

  • The Marder III H used a PaK40/3 7.5cm and this one seen here was restored after being found in a river bed in eastern europe.

  • i heard they found a tiger2 in a river

  • Prone for goodness sake! Apparently the reenactor high kneeling didn't want to dirty his uniform!

  • So your a real german soldier, forgive the amatuers!!

  • Well I'm a reenactor myself and a soldier, when ever there is gunfire, the first thing is to prone and leopard crawl to the nearest cover, not go next to an armoured vehicle.

  • Agreed, I think some just ham it up for the crowd in these situations, this one had no cover and was quite small.

  • I see, anyways I like this clip, the Marder was really awesome!

  • That TANK WAS IN saving private ryan guys

  • Not this one, this was being restored, only finished a couple of years ago.

  • nice one.

reliable czech lt.38 undercarriage lasts forever

  • Like to see a video in the hatch of the Marder.

  • There is no Hatch on the Marder III, its all open in the back and that there is a grated platform welded over the top of the Engine Compart, I use to have a 1/35th Scale Model of the Marder III years ago.

  • well then if that was really used infantry can just go behind it and spary it with bullets

  • The only way infantry could get in the back if the Tank's Support Units have either been wiped out or have their heads down long enough for 1 or 2 of the Attacking Infantry to toss in Grenades

  • do oyu have to cut the barrel or breech of cannon

  • looks like there hiting over a fucking golf club!

  • Just wow! It's a real beauty guys! ( :

  • omg wow love the marder 3m have one in model lol

what unit is this from ?

  • I know this is a totally Geek question, BUT notice the Marder in the film does not have a machine gun (MG-34 or MG-42 used by Germany in World War II) to protect in from the infantry. Did the Germans ever weld a stand on the top so it could have one?

  • Yes they did have a bar across the top, and ours now has one, and an Propane gas firing MG34 ready for this season.

  • can you tell me where can i get marder 3m videos?i just love that tank

  • is this the same marder as in band of brothers?

  • No, in band of brothers is a very similar vehicle but actually build after the war in chekoslovakia

  • no then they would be completely expossed.Usually they would rely on infantry or a front mounted gun.

  • cnt wait until i go to the sheffield fayre agin it is sooo good

  • r u part of nww2a?

  • no im not but i am hoping to be
