  • When did you update this? I am going to get the new one. Thanks, RC! I play this quite a bit and find it good when I'm frustrated and still into Reach.

    Anytime I see user anything in Reach I jump at it. Right now I am editing a single round Covenents VS Spartan fight. It's something that I wish to be on that list. Best 2v2 and Spartan players got 10 lives while the Elites have 5 with 1 min spawn. The base idea is to make it like Lone Wolf for that and it ramps up with smarter enemies.

    This is in my fileshare. I was only able to get a muck playthrough and improve it somewhat.

  • At the end the hunter said "FUUUUUUUUUUUUU…"

  • continued....That way everyone would get about the same credits(but not game score) but if someone does way more they will end up with more credits for being a good team player. ALso you will want to save your allies because when they die you all lose points and thus credits. This gametype is good, but the needle rifle infinite ammo is too good. I always used it on legendary/laso to get kills, it is the safest way. Turn off infinite ammo, or give 3 lives, 25 lives is too much, that or limit ammo

    How on earth is NR overpowered on Huntercaust? On the contrary I found it nearly useless! Limiting ammo just makes other weapons frustrating or pointless to use, and limits map movement.

  • I liked the vidmaster challenge for firefight in ODST, it was fun and team work was critical. The issue is that no one wants to work like a team, and can't without a microphone(a huge issue with console games). If you get 4 people with mics it can be fun. I just want a gametype that gives you credit for doing any damage to an enemy, and make it so that everyone loses points if one person dies. Then of course you get 1 life for each person playing at the end of each round, or whatever it is.

  • I would love some more Score Attack gametypes. Specifically I really want FF Limited in Score Attack, and more fun gametypes like this.

  • i made one too. its on my file share (IVIVP NiGhTMaRE) and idk what i called it but its the only firefight gametype. on installation 04. it needs editing a little if it were going to be in matchmaking but its a ton of fun. its just like survival in mw3

  • I think a Sniper attack variant with only jackal snipers would work really good. Your health should be really low so you'd need to continuously hide and be tactical to win.

    Is dropping the ODSTs an option for this map, or did they just die off quickly?

  • I would love to see a Firefight mode with a more Spartan-II feel. I mean, ODST's had Firefight in Halo 3 ODST, Spartan-III's in Reach. Spartan-II's need one too..! And Halo 4 is too far away (if they're even planning a FF for Halo 4). But with all the adjustable settings, there should be a way to create a firefight that feels like you're playing with a Spartan-II. Faster walk/run speed, higher jump, stronger melee, less/no fall damage. But still with a challenge (preferably challenging Elites).

  • It's an interesting idea, but I think I'd get a bit bored with just the Hunters.

    Would prefer to see it mixed up with other Covvie types, for variety, with the Hunters being used as the Wave Bosses.

    Also, I'd like to see a survival mode. Tons and tons of grunts, with very limited ammo. Zombie Grunts! :)

  • @w0mblemania Well the idea is that this would just be one of many gametypes in 'Future Score Attack' - if you don't like it, don't vote for it, and if it bores you, it's over in 1 round anyway.

    How would you set up 'Zombie Grunts'?

  • this is actually pretty cool....Its sad that I never really play the 'offline' firefight just because I dont get credits for it (or comendations) in Odst it was fun because there werent any credits....

  • Yeah, RC, I just use the Rocket Launcher and Plasma Launcher against the Hunters in Nightfall. Only time I've ever use a Sniper to take them down is on Sniperfight/Sniper Attack. You may want to reconsider that loadout. On another note, I don't understand the dislikes. There's nothing wrong with this video.

  • @bpk428 Heh, certainly the way I've played Nightfall, it's usually Sniper - theres my bias for ya :P

    Rockets and Plasma Launchers are too easy though. I can't really think of anything else without overpowering the loadout. Any ideas?

  • @MasterRC Oh, I wasn't suggesting Plasma and Rocket Lauchers, I was just saying that that's how I fight the Hunters on Nightfall. Hmmm, lets see...Energy Sword? Or is that overpowered? Maybe the Needler? Plasma Rifle? Brute Spiker? I honestly don't know how much challenge they will present because I always use heavy weapons, for Hunters, especially the Spartan Laser on both the Package and The Pillar of Autumn. At the very least, no one ever said you must have 5 loadouts.

  • @bpk428 Heh, I tried the Sword - it is WAY overpowered against hunters. One swipe to the back and they're dead!

    It's not just about how you would approach them campaign or other firefight gametypes though - I still want it to have a variety of viable strategies within the gametype.

    I dunno, I'll think about it.

    Concussion Rifle an option? Never gets any love in fights, just speedrun tricks.

    Also you mention PoA full path... would you ever do a run like that? A just for fun run of course, I know HSH wouldn't be intrested in full path runs that are not on H:CE or Halo 2.

  • @bpk428 I DO love getting the rear Armour off them and using the dodge their charge, fill back with needles, repeat method, it's hilarious killing them with the "joke" weapon :)

  • I'm gonna say this again: If you're gonna dislike my video, I'd really appreciate you telling me why. I do listen to criticism.

    For example, someone made a complaint in another video that my introduction was too long, and in this new video I edit it to get into the action within 30 seconds.

    It won't take long and it'll help.
