This game is amazing, can't say enough good things about it. As a beginner guitarist I took lessons for a couple of months and went travelling and never picked up lessons again. Just played bits and pieces of songs. Rocksmith, I do feel like I'm improving as a guitarist and it's actually teaching me techniques I was never even taught in 2-3 months of lessons. I've owned this for 3 days. Beginner guitarist? Buy this fucking game! You will not regret it.

It has mini games that help you improve on playing certain chords, single notes, and strumming individual strings as fast as possible. The game is awesome!

Ok so ive been having trouble with the game Rocksmith. For example, when it says hit note 3 on the E string it'll keep saying im not hitting the correct note, but when I hit 2 on the E string it counts it as the correct note (3).what should I do? Also im using a fender squire by the way

I'm so mad that the PC release got pushed back so much. Hopefully there'll be a torrent soon. I'm not going to play Rocksmith to become an expert. I'm using it to get a solid foundation to build off of. I think the scale and chord games in the arcade will help a lot and hopefully help me with songs outside of the game. I think this game will also be good for improve speed and familiarity on the fretboard. No one said it would make you the next Hendrix.

I just played this game, and I am impressed. This is really a great, fun learning aid for beginners and experienced players alike. I've been playing for around 6-7 years now. I've never once had any sort of formal training, and I've wanted to branch out in my musical ability. Having all the tools needed to teach yourself all in one, convenient, easy to use place is great. Not to mention, it has a free play mode where you can apply all kind of effects and just mess around. Don't use HDMI, it lags

Also, Rockband has been doing this with drums for a couple years, and I never felt like it was destroying anything sacred about percussion.
