The last death scene was cool and all, but that's not how it actually happened in real life. Leonidas died in the middle of the massacre and when he did, there was a tiny tug of war like skirmish going on for control of his body between the persians and his men. The spartans eventually got his corpse though and the last of them dragged it to a corner and held out for as long as they could... then after everyone was dead, xerxes had Leonida's head literally put on a stake to show it off...
