  • thumbs up if i feel sorry for the little fish :(

  • @Feralefull OSU, thank you... well, I can agree. to be eaten alive is not so nice... :-(

  • My instructor went with some shodans to a camp and they had to do mawashi geri's in a swimming pool of ice before gooing to bed then they would be told to get up and go into seiza for the rest of the night

  • @TheXILEproductions strong training... respect OSU... keep training

  • The people on this video are living in some sort of fantasy land standing on a cold beach practising simple techniques isn't gonna help u in the fight is it, full contact sparring and padwork is, along with intense intense cardio vascular for endurance & flexibilty and weights for power.

  • No, is not any fantasy is real and this is part of Karate, to do more. As you say a hard training with sparring and padwork etc.. is needed if you want to compete but these outdoor training is also good. Tell Mas Oyama who trained like this and he was never defeated.

For many or all to do this training was to achieve something new, to exceed on what they thought they was possible to do. Not everyone can do this. Also, many of the people in this video have competed in very high level. Thanks OSU

  • yeh mas oyama trained in the MOUNTAINS ALONE for a YEAR at a time, and he did INTENSE CONDITIONING, this is the reason he was so good because nobody could hurt him and he often broke bones on his first strike. His training and dancing around on a beach with no shoes on is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT now isn't it......

  • Hi, I respect your ideas, all people do not think the same, I look to the all concept, is the sum of all things, like Oyama did - he went also barefooted in winter time as part of his training. He is the master we just follow his way of doing things. This is part of a lot off trainings, is pretty difficult in 8 minutes to show everything we do. I would like to see if you are able to do this ;-) is a mind issue, and is about kyokushin. thanks for your insight - keep training. OSU

  • Yeh good point with the 8 minutes, but on the other hand if your showing 8 minutes show something hard! , not the beach warm up man!!!

  • OSU!! So is not enough hard minus 5 degrees and training in the sea?!?!

Is ok... was nice to talk to you.. next video I will show the Hardcore of kyokushin from our trainings and no beach training ;-)

Have a great day and always keep training hard.

    OSU

  • Lol just got back from my muay thai club and I kicked this guy in the elbow :) it was pretty hard today we did all technique shadow boxing then all technique padwork, followed by 100 roundhouse each leg then sparring I didn't do anything on a beach though lol. Although that is pretty cold lol

  • OSU respect!!

    nice training..

    OSU

  • i do muay thai and Kyokushin karate and Muay thai is great but Kyokushin is in MY eyes better because the training is not only about fighting it's also about training your mind, push you to train simple techniques in harsh weather .

    OSU

  • @kyle1172 hoi there.I'm agree with you the full contact sparring and padworks is important, but I'm not agree that the training on cold beach isn't gonna help. Fellows who does this kind of hard training are far more resist to extreme temp than other Martial Artist who never did it, who practice in nice warm dojo atmosphere. Practicing in freezing temp, freezing water requiers much more effort to warm up, and up your immune system... so at the end it's gonna help in a fight...

  • @myrtedecorsica yeh but the amount it will help is veryy litttle, it is counter productive to play on the beach when you could be doing sparring and padwork which will help u a lot more in a fight than having a gd immune system or being able to stay warm! xD

  • @kyle1172 OSU, I think all kind of trainings are good, we also train with pads and so on. I agree with myrtedecortisa. Anyhow, thanks for your post and your opinion. Keep training OSU

  • @myrtedecorsica I think like you. We also do pad training and indoor training but to do this kind of training is also good, I think is good to combine. Thank for your opinions. OSU - Keep training

  • i already feel cold here in office when i see that winter training brrrrrrr respect for you guys.

    Osu!!

  • I tell you it was very very coooold... the feets was the worst but at the same time it is something very special.. I miss the Korean trainings! Thanks for your post...

    OSU

  • i have a question in kyokushin can we clinch and grabe the head and hit with the knee in the face like muay thai ?

i am new to the kyokushin sorry

  • OSU,

At todays kyokushin rules in tournements is not allowed. No punches to the face and no grabe but you can hit with the knee and the feets in the face.

KyokushinKan the school of Hatsuo Royama is starting new competitions of the old kyokushin Oyama School and he is creating tournements where these techniques are allowed. Grabing to do knee kick, punch hits in the face etc.. you can find videos in youtube. Hatsuo Royama KYOKUSHINKAN

  • So you may finally be on the same level as Muay Thai in future years to come, hmmm, still I hope u stop doing the pointless beach bonding sessions ;)

  • OSU, alwayssss... the other day we did a very nice training hard style the kind you like... but I did not record it.. sorry... beside this... the beach cold trainings will be part of our trainings.. keep posted... OSU ;-)

  • thnx bro

  • I feel its so much fun , i wish i could try once now its 1 week i am training kyokushin and its a hard game and i palyed teakwondo 5 years and muaythai 1 year

  • OSU,

Welcome to Kyokushin, anyhow your background is very nice. Thanks for your post.

    Keep training

    OSU

  • I dont belive that the trainng was hard at all , because they are just smiling the whole time . . . And That was LAME

  • Next time we do this kind of training you are welcome to try by your self. Maybe was not a hard muscular training but I can tell it was the coldest training ever... worst than a training under the cold waterfall... Kyokushin is also to have fun, is many things, to be serious, respect etc.. These guys train so much, and do so many things we will never do in Europe or at the States. We have a lot to learn. I do not think is LAME, I was there!! OSU

  • Wow. This video shows very good training, and it's also in a very nice place. Osu!

  • OSu, thank you very much, indeed it was a hard training and the nicest is the place... is a special feeling. Thanks OSU

  • Hey man, i prefer Sokcho in the summer months.

  • Sure... is not so cold, we had summer trainings there too.. was nice, in corea is quite hot also.. is really cold in vinter and very hot in summer.. OSU

  • I think that this kind of karate is a little bit too violent. i prefer the shotokan Style. However congratulation for the hard work you do!

  • OSU. thanks, kyokushin is based to fight against your own fear and to conquer the ultimate points. Day by day to do more and to improve. Kyokushin is a full contact karate style and required very hard training. Shotokan is the first "Japanese" karate. Kyokushin descend from Shotokan and Okinawan styles (southern styles). All Karate is good, different ways to do things and is everyones decision and this should be respected. Thanks for your comment. Keep training OSU

  • Kyokushin training in Korea is actually a very wonderful experience.

Many martial artists trained outdoors in South Korea. Especially Taekwondo and Kyokushin.

    Japan does train outdoors.

But i would not mind training outdoors too. It is fun.

  • OSU,

Yes is a great experience and the idea of training outdoor with cold/hot weather under water falls. Hard training with the things from the nature hardening the parts to create hands and feets as mortal weapons is Kyokushin 100%. This is the main diference actually - the hard training and enduring human parts. To create a hard mind. I was in japan and they do this also. Here in Europe is very common too. Normally when we do here is from 2 to 4 days hard training on the skirts of the hills

  • god I wish I had the time to still train like that and in places like that, even in japan where I am right now i just don't have enough time and it makes me sad OSU ultimate truth indeed nothing else in the world is quite like kyokushin, it truly embodies what it means to be a martial artist.

  • OSU,

Yes is something very special, is difficult to explain, but as you say... strong feelings, is a way of life a way of behave.

Many thanks.. always keep training even if you can not be there. Some day, it will be.
