  • questo taglio a annata genesis

  • testimonianza bellissima per l'epoca, preziosa per chi ha amato questo mitico gruppo...ormai ne nascono bene pochi come loro !!!

  • Hacket did his solo a little differently during this Montreal show than we hear on other live recordings and/or bootlegs of the period. He rally improved a little more, and made the intro more mournful and melancholic. Really great. I don't think he ever played it that way again. The existing audio archive of the period, as well as the Seconds Out era, indicate that he did not. This is why the Montreal show is such a must have for Genesis fans.

  • Hackett's guitar work reaches the sublime on this.....astonishing stuff......

"We shall have World Government whether or not you like it, by conquest or consent."-James Warburg(Council on Foreign Relations)

"No one will enter the New World Order unless he or she will make a pledge to worship Lucifer. No one will enter the new age unless he will take a Luciferian initiation."-David Spangler(United Nations)

  • la qualità lascia a desiderare ma è l'unica che ho trovato con l'assolo di flauto traverso di peter gabriel

  • Video is from at least 2 different concerts, but somebody at least did a good job of synchronizing the music with the videos...for a change.

  • Thank-you M I likely will not be here by the next few months...I wish you Thanks and all best to you and everyone close to you...I always loved this song and I only saw them twice live...Once in 1976 for The Trick album and 1980 ,front row conter ,Torotno,Canada where I live and I will pass...

    All hard hugs,

to all the kind words from my Y.T. brothers and Sisiters..

    see you in the next?

  • WHAT IN THE WORLD HOW DID YOU GET THIS?!

  • This is a sound for a Bass ... is like a Knife ... Great Bass ...

  • hackett had a sweet mustache :o

  • woot canada

  • Mike on his good old Rickenbackers...wish he'd kept with them. The 4001 bass has a sound like no other.

  • He still have them

  • @arkmay3 played in a band post-HS, bassist had one, very cool

  • is that the Gretsch kit Phil is using?

  • yes he always plays gretch

  • is this 9/8 time in the middle section ?

  • The middle section Keyboard solo is musically complex

    Starting at 0:26: 2/4 | 4/4 | 2/4 | 13/16 :| 2/4 | 13/16 for a few, then into 15/16

Thats all the signatures in the keyboard solo, its just a matter of the correct arrangement. Hard for me to do here since I cannot post sheet music

  • its not necesarrily complex but just hard to wrap your head around and keep in focus while analayizing trust me im a keyboardist but once you analayzed shouldnt be a huge problem

  • senti che robba

  • WOW.

    So rare.

    Magog64 does it again.

Thanks for that great Hackett footage!!!!

  • Phil Collins has skills.

  • There's a mistake in the keyboard part right at the beginning. I'm sure Banks loves having that immortalized...

  • true

  • 1:37 to 4:11 is just awesome!

  • I agree..

The lead in this song is so hauntingly beautiful that i never get tired of hearing it

    ..

It always raises the little hairs on the backk of my neck..

Steve Hackett is a great guitarist..

    Very Frippish

  • nor does my band tire of playing it (when we are together that is!)

  • masterpiece

  • Grandi allora come ora!!!!!

  • Great! Your videos are so much better than tommygun's (which are mostly just looped bits and pieces over another audio source..)! Do you have anything else from this 74 show?

  • I don't want to put the guy down but tommyguns videos aren't as rare as he makes out and are fairly easy to get hold of wheres Magogs are of superb quality and alot i've never seen before. Certainly don't buy the footage, you can download most of what he's got

  • Yep, I know.. Everything is available either on Dimeadozen or on Genesis Movement... :)

Magog on the other hand, as you say, has a lot of incredible footage of astoundingly good quality!

  • I feel sorry for the idiots lining Tommyguns pockets when all the material is free on Genesis Movement as it should be.

  • Jesus you guys, he started the whole old Genesis movement. Give him a break!

  • I won't give a break to anyone making money from Genesis, it's not his to sell. End of.

  • Ok Phil, thanks...

  • @someonelikethemoon I agree totally with you..Genesis is for sharing all friends !

  • ...Or on the Genesis reissues

  • Yeah. Most of Tommygun's stuff can be found out the DVD portion of the Genesis reissues. EMI/Rhino's CD/DVD combos

  • U R the man, dude. Thanks again.

  • Always a pleasure...Thank you!!

  • Yeah! Can't find this anywhere

  • Wow, i've only ever seen the out of sync versions of this footage, this is the best yet
